Me and my mate were in this redneck bar playing pool with Billy, who had just gotten out of a 5 year stretch. I was fascinated by the clientele - all pony tails and leather jackets. I remember two of the t-shirts being worn in there - one said 'I'm a tail chaser!' at the top, above the confederate flag, and at the bottom it read 'It's a southern thang!' Another fella was a bit more cultured - his t-shirt simply read 'I love tittys!' above a picture of a pair of titty's. How deep and cultured!

Tell you what.... some of those small outback bars I came across in Australia weren't any better! In those days, I did like my men rough and ready, but this was a bit too rough and ready!

Global warming and melting icecaps won't be the main cause of ocean levels rising - our tears will!

i've wondered about this... if the icecaps melt then surely the oceans wont actually rise... i have no scientific foundation for this statement other than when you put ice cubes into a glass of water then mark the level of that water, then wait for the ice cubes to melt and i assure you the water mark level will stay the same...

so would the ocean levels rise???

seriously i would like to know!
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

"Glacier and icecap melt is responsible for roughly a third of sea level rise, the main cause being simple water expansion due to temperature rise, known as thermal expansion."

    Lesson for the day.

I think that they are referring to the amount of ice which is 'above' the water line - which is a hefty amount!

i was meaning huge icebergs and glaciers... isnt the whole of the north pole area just made up of sea ice? if so then if it were to melt then water levels wouldnt rise... but as redrock has informed me, the thermal expansion theory easily outweighs my theory... that and the fact i was using ice cubes in a glass as my scientific study

Bright orange! I'd like to say we have sex with the lights off but I wouldn't know the difference - they're great in a power cut!

Yes, apparantly pubes do go grey! My mate is in his 40's and has started going grey - he was quite distressed when he told me!

Well yeah, huge icebergs and glaciers which protude above sea level - when they melt and collapse into the sea then the water level will rise. They are made up of sea ice, and they have been that way for millions of years, since the ice age, so that as they melt - the sea will rise. basically, we are doomed!
