My favorite band is an Aussie band called Something for Kate (SFK). They never tour in Europe (at least not since 2004) so I fully understand your frustration.
However, SFK is completely unknown in Europe and the singer, Paul Dempsey, comes by himself from time to time to play acoustic solo shows ... I am definitively more lucky than PJ ANZ fans ...

Do you think that it is due to financial consideration such as bad AUD/ USD forex rate ? Or to a member of the band that does not want to tour down Under ?

They have played several times in South America lately, it’s really strange that ANZ has not been visited ... They should follow the Metallica path :)

Come on Aussies and Kiwis.  Share this petition on your social media pages as well.  Let's get PJ down here next year.  They are such slackers.  ;)

You might have better success if you contacted the band's wives directly and made your pitch to them. After all, the women probably decide where the family will be vacationing! Good luck to you!

Well exciting news for you...there is a SFK album being made now :joy: so I'm guessing later in the year we will see it. Fingers crossed they do a world tour so you can go.

I follow Eddie's wife on Instagram and have already dropped a few hints on her page.

I've always wanted to go to New Zealand.  A PJ show would be a great bonus. Not holding my breath at all, but I think a Southeast Asia and/or a down under tour would be real awesome.

You might only get Auckland and if you're lucky Christchurch. Wellington's council has shot itself in the foot so many times with gigs it should have gotten that I doubt they'll play it again (definitely not indoor as TSB's capacity is 5000 and sucks acoustically-though saw them there in 98 and was the best gig I've ever seen). You'd want at least 3 weeks to do NZ justice since it's so far away so you might have to choose between following the guys in Aussie or doing NZ properly.

They love down under and will certainly be aware of the number of people who want to see them there. Hell I've just moved home and as a frequent traveller I'm nervous they and Tool will visit NZ when I'm out of the country. They'll make it back, just when is the big question. Not sure how much these petitions help (though I'm all for them if they do). There's a Facebook page calling for Tool to visit NZ in August which is pretty redundant as anyone who knows Maynard's schedule knows he is balls deep in harvesting around that time.

No, there were no plans for Pearl Jam to tour Australia or New Zealand this year.  They are not touring anywhere in 2019.  Eddie is doing a couple of festivals and a small solo tour of the Europe.. that's it.

Haha well played. Just the rugby/cricket multipurpose ones sadly. Probably explains why we travel to see them often (as of now I've seen them play their latest gig which I can stay smug about for a while-not too long though I hope).

Loved the merch for the baseball gigs. If they had PJ All Blacks themed stuff (I'm sure it's subject to licence or something) I'd be all over it. Got both 2016 New Era caps for the Red Sox and Cubs gigs-something like that with the silver fern would rock. Actually for the Bucs too since they're my baseball team.

Ah got carried away. No baseball stadia. But jeepers imagine PJ playing a sold out MCG. Doubt it's possible and would rather hit an arena but just imagining it now-would be pretty insane. I repeat though there'd be better places in Melbs just to clarify LOL.

I know the band had it on their radar last summer. Something fell through. I'm aware of EV only shows this year :)

Where did you hear that PJ were going to tour Australia/NZ this year?    They only tour here when there is a new album out.

the last time  they 'properly' toured NZ in 2009 the tour shirts were based on the Blues and the Crusaders shirts.
