I'm all for the P or VP being the right person, regardless of gender...but why would a male P need to choose a female running mate?

The point is that there is no way in hell that they can't find "the right person" in a woman, considering how underrepresented women are by government (and considering that a woman has never held either of the two spots in the history of the nation), combined with the number of amazing women there are to choose from. There is no way in hell that a male running mate would be best over a great woman. Well, the right person for POTUS is a woman too, but America is still too sexist for that probably.

I think it is the height of naivety to think that Trump winning didn't have something to do with sexism. To me that is crazy talk. Pure denial. yes i'm sure some sexism plays a part but i am still completely baffled by women who voted for  Trump. I know many education and intelligent women who admit to voting for the guy.  I honestly can't fathom how any woman could have voted for the guy over Hillary.

and to be honest in this election cycle I'm not necessarily interested in voting for the best Dem candidate. I'm interested in voting for the DEM candidate who has the best chance to beat Trump.  I almost don't care about their policies this cycle. It's  ONLY about getting this guy out of office ASAP.  I'll deal with any policy consequences after the fact.

I voted for Hillary in the Virginia primary and advocated for her tirelessly on this site.  That included many verbal throw downs against the Bernie fans here.   I won't vote for Warren because of her policies.  Do you think im sexist? Do you think im the only white male like that?

I did.  If the only argument is that women are judged by a different standard,  then I agree.  But women are just as judgmental on that same physical standard as men are.  

I'm reading all of these articles with the subtle context that any man that doesn't vie for a woman has some embedded sexist reason.  Maybe im reading too much into it.

Then I don't understand why you asked me the questions you did. I liked this article partly because it specifically responds to your reaction of "I have supported women, do you think I'm sexist?"

How so? How do I examine my unconscious bias,  when I happily pulled the lever for Hillary? That doesn't make sense.  You know what else doesn't make sense? This quote from the article..

"You’re in the minority, though. American men largely do nothave faith in women as leaders. In fact, only 45 percent of American men say they are comfortable with the idea a female president."

How is 55% in the minority? And how do I answer for the 45% "majority"?  I can only speak for me, and how I feel about Warren.  As to Amy and Harris,  I have not heard enough policy positions.  Isn't that what any politician wants though? Judge him/ her on the positions.
