Biden sounds like an "all words" kind of guy. A lot of talk about fluffy stuff - "this is what America is all about, this is our spirit - to say thank you to one another like we did back when I grew up in the 17th century".
But I guess we'll see. Wonder if he's aware that America does a few things backwards compared to e.g. Europe, like Bernie does.
What's the difference between "heal the country" and "make america great again". When was it ever great? When was it ever healed?0 -

I'm all for the P or VP being the right person, regardless of gender...but why would a male P need to choose a female running mate?
You forgot a woman just got 3 million more votes than her opponent in a national election?
Guess what, we aslo voted for a black man, twice!
and to be honest in this election cycle I'm not necessarily interested in voting for the best Dem candidate. I'm interested in voting for the DEM candidate who has the best chance to beat Trump. I almost don't care about their policies this cycle. It's ONLY about getting this guy out of office ASAP. I'll deal with any policy consequences after the fact.I would guess Religion is the top answer on the board
Religion being the top answer makes 0 sense in regards to voting for Trump.hippiemom = goodness0 -

It's just so hypocritical with the life that Trump has led and the way he lives his life and conducts himself. But RR doesn't care about actual religion, they want to impose their beliefs on abortion on everyone. I wonder why they don't feel the same way about the death penalty? Always baffled me. If killing is wrong, then it's a blanket statement. Or not.
But I do get the abortion/judge reasoning.0 -

I know some people who only vote Republican because of their abortion stance. I also know some people who still think "the gays" go to hell.
I hold that religion is a top reason a self respecting woman might vote for him.
My opinion....could be that it is wrong.
It's amazing how the RR have stood behind Trump (who never held their beliefs until he decided to run as a Republican and probably really doesn't care about these issues except to get support) and when any transgression pops up they ignore it or say it was in the past, move along. Yet they demonize other people. Selective religious outrage. Ugh.Yep. My mother in law is one of these fucking morons. One of her childhood friends came out as a lesbian once she reached mid-life. My wife asked her recently, after we learned that she told our nephew that gay people go to hell, how she could think that and be friends with a lesbian. Her retort: "Oh, I love her and accept that she chooses to be gay. She is still going to hell."Fuck all of those people. If you were to meet my Mother in Law you would think she is the nicest person in the world. She is nice to everyone and tries to help everyone. Yet, her upbringing and religious teachings contributed to her having shitty, mean, thoughts and to being a Trump supporter even though she is "appalled" at his behavior toward women.A lot of fucked up in the world.Anyway....hope there is a candidate that we do not know much about yet and who will lead the march to overthrow the Grand Wizard Trump. (And hopefully not someone who is going to be in their frigging 80s during term.)The love he receives is the love that is saved0 -

When Trump is talking about Charlottesville, that's a good thing. Biden got under his skin with the video.0

And, I didn't change or redact anything - I just added to it. A bit of tounge in cheek:ness. Or am I miss remembering my before and after post? Then I'll use an EDIT: to this post owning it.
BTW -- I "EDIT:" all the time. Don't try to lecture a millennial (I guess, sort of) on how to use a message board.Post edited by Spiritual_Chaos on"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0 -

The longer Directors Cut:
Bernie sounds like a young hipster. I bet he's got some Post Malone on his Iphone X. Biden only listens to "the wind carrying the spirit of the country and soaring eagles in the great american sky. A sky like no other country has ever seen. Heil Hydra"

Who the hell would use "EDIT:" to add some jokey text.
EDIT: Oh wait, I came up with something funny. So after you've read my post above and come all the way down here. You can now read the joke out of context. But if you wish, you can copy it, and paste it into Word where it is suppose to belong in the original text that's written about this "EDIT:"-part. And get the context.
:P
