What's your favorite Pearl Jam song, post 1999?

A few months ago, I had put together a top-10 favorite studio album songs, but realized only 1 of the 10 were post 1999 (Love Boat Captain).  I'm trying to come up with a top-10 of post-1999 songs for myself and am curious which songs are some of your favorites.

    @Jammalambo

You’re the first person I’ve heard say “Help Help.”  I’ve always enjoyed the build-up throughout that song.  It’s weird how often  overtook Riot Act, but honestly can’t find one song on that record I don’t like.

Well, I know there are other folks on here who love that song too.. Binaural and Riot Act, there's just a special mood in those records, something so deep.. On the other hand, I also know the songs I listed are amongst the worst for a lot of people here. To me, songs like Help Help or 1/2 Full, they are great in the studio versions.. but live are just phenomenal (if Ed manages to not fuck up the words)

I finally got a copy of PJ20 (the book) and just went over 2000-2003.  It's made me appreciate Riot Act more after hearing how much Roskilde affected them, and how much you can feel that on the record.  I haven't listened to Riot Act as much as I have in the last couple of weeks.

For me it’s hands down LBC.  After that there are so many good choices.  I love Sirens.  Initially I was lukewarm on it, but it’s grown on me big time.

I think Grievance is incredibly underrated.  It was my favorite song initially when I went through Binaural.  So many awesome layers lyrically and musically.

    From each album:
    Of the Girl
    Green Disease
    Gone
    Amongst the Waves
    Got Some

Got Some and Of the Girl would be tops...

Yeah that song just struck a chord with me when it came out, the whole album did really but the Letterman performance really sold me on it too. A lot going on in a relatively short song.

  • 1. Unthought Known-gives me goose bumps
    2. Seven O’clock- gave me goose bumps first listen
    3. Green Disease- just love it
    4. World Wide Suicide- should be a regular concert song
    5. Dance of Clairvoyant’s- simply bad ass
    6. Grievance- always need to get the blood flowing
    7. Infallible- the chorus just makes me want to sing along

The list could go on, but I’m just thankful that almost 30yrs later, these guys are still pumping out great music. Love the new album! Cheers

lots of love for Love Boat Captain.  Would have to agree and put it in my list.
    1. Unthought Known.  I have a hard enough time narrowing it to just 10 much less rank them so the rest are in no particular order:
    Parting Ways
    Love Boat Captain
    Thumbing My Way
    Come Back
    Gone
    Marker in the Sand
    Lightning Bolt
    Future Days
    Who Ever Said

other notables that could be in my top 10 just depending on the mood I am in: Rival, Light Years, 1/2 Full, Save You, Life Wasted, Parachutes, Inside Job, Just Breathe, Force of Nature, Pendulum, Swallowed Whole, River Cross

    04 - Asheville, Kissimmee                     23 -  Ft Worth II
    08 - Tampa, Columbia                           24 - LA I&II, Philadelphia I&II, Baltimore?
    09 - Atlanta I&II (EV)
" if hope could grow from dirt like me. It can be done.
  • It's easy -- Save You.
  • After Save You (2002), I'd say Superblood Wolfmoon. I mean, Sad (Lost Dogs) is in my top-five PJ songs, but I think the band composed Sad during the 1990s.
