I can't remember where I heard the discussion but I remember some talking heads saying that they could see Biden running with O'Rourke where Biden basically says he is just going to serve one term due to his age, with the idea of handing the reigns to O'Rourke after that term.Kat said:I don't think this could happen but I could see a Biden/O'Rourke team in the WH. Biden's experience to right the ship and O'Rourke learning all he needs for governing in a follow-up run in the future. There's a lot to learn about all the other candidates who want to run so this is just an early thought...experience in governing is key to me though. I could also see Biden/Warren or Biden/Harris. Happy New Year to you all. I hope you had a wonderful evening and will have a great year ahead.

Easy on the LDS insults. Let's not pretend that we will have mainline conservatives suddenly signing onto medicare for all, or that they will be anti-tax cuts. This isn't the real world. But it's important to have real conservatives appropriately criticizing Trump's behavior. Romney did that day one and I commend him for that. I welcome any other conservative, Kasich, Sasse, anyone, to do the same. We don't have to agree on policy to agree on being a human.Halifax2TheMax said:

I joke about my own. When I was in college, I wrote a paper about how Mormonism was a cult. It didn't go over well in the seminar discussion and I learned a lot from it, none of it good. I've just never teased people about their belief systems since then. As goofy as I may think LDS is, I have found the Mormons to be really good people. They seem to actually practice their beliefs in providing aid to the poor, helping those in need, etc. Their care for humans doesn't appear to end at teh time of birth, like some other conservative religions. I've grown to respect them over the years.my2hands said:

I agree with this word-for-word. She’ll be the most Hilary-like option because of the hate building up and because she’s a woman(lots of redundancy there). I don’t think we’re ready to elect a Democrat woman...maybe a hard-core conservative woman but not a center-to-left woman.Gern Blansten said:

also, tRUmp brought this on himself. Now any GOP who wants to make a name for themselves is going to come out swinging. Any GOP who wants to throw their hat in the ring for the next election knows they are going to have to out-tRUmp tRUmp with insults and bad nicknames.
In an ideal world, it won't matter bc tRUmp will end up in jail or resigned. If anyone in the GOP believes tRUmp won't last another term, they really have nothing to lose politically by attacking him. I expect to see the rate at which the GOP cannibalizes itself to accelerate in the coming months.Post edited by Kat on0 -

Hi! said:Trump is very beatable. I dont see how he is gaining support. Sure, he has his base, but I see him losing support amongst moderates and swing voters, and definitely women. Add a more enthusiastic suport of the dem nominee in 2020 to offset the small vote differances in swing states, very beatable.
I don't see how he wins Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania again. Stranger things have happened though (like him winning the first time).0 -
Do they not believe in magic underwear? How was I insulting? Regardless, the criticism of Team Trump Treason should have been outspoken the day he announced his candidacy and it should have been sustained and in depth. Instead, Mitt and others stepped aside and allowed this idiot to be elected. He owns it. If he votes for removal from office after a trial, I may give Mitt a modicum of respect. Be that as it may, the country needs advocates for righteousness and the rule of law. I don't care what any politician thinks about the marginal tax rate at this point. Anyone who joins the team with teh moral compass, I welcome them regardless of when they join.Halifax2TheMax said:
