The Rocky franchise was fantastic.  Rocky 1 was my favourite...
    Rocky 1, 2 and Balboa.

    All you need.
I'm not sure I've seen Balboa, I will be sure to check it out.
Great emotional movie. Great ending to the story of Rocky. Would have been even better without the boxing.

    Will check out.  Thanks.

I don't even think Cinderella Man is that good in general (in the boxing movie context... I love all boxing movies indiscriminately. But then they're ranked within that genre). And Stallone's acting performance in Rocky absolutely KILLS Crowe's. I can hardly even believe you think that was a better performance... But to each their own, lol. ;) Million Dollar Baby is a million times better than Cinderella Man IMO.

C'mon, everybody knows that Bloodsport is the best "sports" movie. It incorporated kicking and punching and starred the one and only Jean Claude.
    It's a hopeless situation...

and the "blinded shriek" is a watershed of movie moments.

Problem with Raging Bull is that I can't even remember the boxing parts of the movie anymore. Hoosiers was good.

I died laughing during this show. Just flat out funny. That very first shift on the ice for the Hanson brothers was one of the greatest scenes ever.

Bummer but I get it!  I wrecked my right /throwing arm shoulder playing racquetball when I was in my early thirties.  Ruined my ability to throw well for life.  :frowning:

The Natural is one of my all-time faves (and I am so in love with Robert Redford  ) ... I love all boxing movies, and I love all baseball movies. Even shit like Little Big League and Brewster's Millions and Mr. 3000, lol.
The rest of the sports movies... I usually like them too, but they don't do it for me like boxing and baseball ones.

Brewster's Millions is great!  That would be an extremely difficult challenge in today's world, let alone 1985.

America people are committing suicide at an all-time high in your country.  That is not good.  That needs to be addressed.

Yes, The Natural is a classic.

I agree, I tend to even enjoy the decidedly average or shit sports movies (Mr 3000 is definitely in that category, but I still enjoyed it).

Forgot Caddyshack (damn!) and Happy Gilmore. There's also the Legend of Bagger Vance for golf too
