Well you're wrong here. He's referring to what Soul said.

So again... nice subtle attempt at my character here, Hugh. Piss off.
pardon? it was not a subtle attempt at anything, dude, sincerely. I don't recall Soul (or anyone else) referring to trump voters as scum or cletuses. you did. I'm not judging anything.

if I'm wrong, fine, but there was legitimately no attempt at character by any means.

I actually remember you saying it.

And Hugh's been tossing casual shots at me for a while now. He jumped into the DP thread to do it... and he found an opportunity here to do it too.
ok. I made one comment in the DP thread about people and their hypbole (yes, I was referring to you directly) a few weeks ago, but beyond that, I'm not sure where i've been "tossing casual shots at you for a while now". sorry you feel that way. There honestly is no ill intent on my part.

if Soul said it ("scum") my apologies. I didn't see it. I thought you said it. And it was merely an observation, not an insult in any way.

Thanks for clarifying. I thought you were taking shots at me. I ignored the one in the DP thread, but I thought you were piling on here. My bad. Interpretation can be tricky at times.

    No problems.

On a somewhat related note, there's a group of people that follow Trump from town-to-town and are in the front row for all of his rallies...like how people follow Pearl Jam, Springsteen, etc. They chant "lock her up" the way we raise our arms in a "V" during Jeremy. I wonder what their conversations are like and if they're anything like what we say at Pearl Jam shows...

"I wonder what he's going to open with tonight."

"He played rapist-illegals at the last three shows. I wish he'd change the setlist up more."

"He has to play the hits like "Crooked Hillary" because for some people it's their first Trump show."

"There he goes again talking about his wall. Enough with the Pink Floyd covers already! He has enough of his own material, why do so many covers?"
    A traveling salvation show.

I was wondering what that was as well. I'm pretty sure it's a seagull, but anyway  experiencing or seeing military aircraft in action always spookes me.
Two seagulls one at 10 and one at 8 o'clock.  sad really.
We get some crazy aircraft around this area with a few Joint and Naval air stations around.
The whole house shakes when choppers go straight North or South along the shoreline about 75 feet in the air.   BURNING FUEL.

The scariest thing I ever saw was on the
    Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge
right next to Nationals Park.  It crosses over the Anacostia river.   Imagine yourself in traffic, not moving, heading toward DC, you can ALMOST see the Capitol Dome, right at the high point of that bridge.
TWO of these pivoted and took a side of the river each and were coming right for me.  They couldn't have been more than a hundred feet up.

They flew right by me and held their fire.  Thank Christ.

I wouldn't be too concerned about it opening fire.  It's a transport aircraft.

Border control postpones Election Day "crowd control exercise" in El Paso

The government agency that oversees border patrol has postponed an Election Day "crowd control exercise" on Tuesday in El Paso, Texas, near a Hispanic neighborhood with about 100 residents. The exercise was to have taken place in the hometown of Beto O'Rourke, the Democratic Senate candidate who's running a tight race against Republican Sen. Ted Cruz.

Good article from Politico discussing what life will be like for the administration if the dems take the House. Talked about the Clinton, W, and Obama admins having to deal with similar circumstances. It sounds like it will be no fun at all for the White House, and I'm glad about that.

'It's depressing as hell': Dem win would spell misery for Trump White House aides

"Working for President Donald Trump has never been easy, but his staffers can expect a whole new level of mayhem if Democrats win control of the House on Tuesday.

Democratic control of even one chamber of Congress would unleash an onslaught of hearings, subpoenas and document demands as lawmakers investigate everything from the president’s personal tax returns to his controversial policies on immigration, health care and the environment."

It’s not about making the White House uncomfortable. It’s about getting to the truth, based on facts, and holding those who committed crimes accountable.
