Pearl Jam: Ten/Vs
Yes! Great albums.Thirty Bills Unpaid said:eeriepadave said:nice list but I personally would replace Blink and guns n roses with Metallica- Master/Justice for all and probably Soundgarden- Superunknown and Down on the upside
Badmotorfinger/Superunknown would suit my tastes.It's a hopeless situation...0 -
Pearl Jam: Ten/Vs
I didn't get in to them until late high school. Led Zep BBC sessions is probably my favorite album. I listened to that a ton my senior year.F Me In The Brain said:It's a hopeless situation...0 -
Pearl Jam: Ten/VsI think this is an impossible choice that for me would vary based upon my mood. Other people have brought a ton of album combos I also find great, but what I do know is that I am thankful for these amazing artists and their music. Now, I am going to start spinning some of these back to back

You need to pick one immediately or else I am sending you a Kris kross tape in the mail.tbergs said:I think this is an impossible choice that for me would vary based upon my mood. I'm actually jealous. If there was 4 albums that I could totally forget and listen to again for the first time to discover their utter genius, then those 4 wouldn't be too far from the top of my list.mcgruff10 said:
I have never listened to any of these albums. I feel ashamed.RS151862 said:Pink Floyd - Dark Side/Wish You Were Here
Led Zeppelin - II/III
Few more suggestions:
Zep 4 > Houses of the Holy
Sticky Fingers > Exile on Main Street (Stones)
Achtung Baby > Zooropa (U2)
On The Beach > Tonight's The Night (Neil)

Beatles: Rubber Soul/ Revolver
They're on the melancholy side, no doubt, but there's some subtle rockers in there too. Bloodbuzz Ohio is where I hopped on their train and definitely gets the blood flowing.tempo_n_groove said:
I've never understood the love for the National as "great" albums/great music. The music is good but it never made me want to jump up and down. It's like Joy Division, great music but you aren't raving up and down to it...jjflash said:I'd argue that Vs. packs as good or better a 1-2 punch w/ Vitalogy than it does w/ Ten :coffee:
A few other 1-2s to add to those already mentioned:
Public Enemy: ITANOMTHUB ---> Fear of a Black Planet
The Black Crowes: SHAMC ---> Amorica
The National: High Violet ---> Trouble Will Find Me
Jason Isbell: Southeastern ---> Something More Than Free
Rolling Stones: pick 'em...Beggars/Let It Bleed/Sticky/Exile
Radiohead: Ok Computer ---> Kid A
Tom Petty: Wildflowers ---> She's the One
ATCQ: The Low End Theory ---> Midnight Marauders
Van Morrison: Moondance ---> Tupelo Honey
Michael Jackson: Off the Wall ---> Thriller
Lynryd Skynyrd: Pronounced ---> Second Helping0 -
Pearl Jam: Ten/VsACDC's Highway to Hell/Back in Black is as strong a two album punch as there might be, but of course... Scruffy hasn't heard ACDC.
For my tastes, the Scorpions' Blackout/Love At First Sting is too.

Haha! If you really have a Kriss Kross tape yet that is amazing. Funny story, for our 7th grade variety show our home room decided we would lip sync to Jump, Jump. I was one of the singers and we wore hoodies and some baggy pants while we had dancers in the background "jumping". Good times.mcgruff10 said:

I SAW PEARL JAM0 -
Pearl Jam: Ten/VsFor heavy metal I would add Slayer Reign in Blood/South of Heaven/Seasons in the Abyss. I love those 3 albums. It's a hopeless situation...0

Swordfishtrombones --> Rain Dogs --> Franks Wild YearsI SAW PEARL JAM0

Pearl Jam: Ten/VsOf the options listed, Pearl Jam stands at the top for me. The Beatles would be a clear second. Throw in some of the other combos mentioned and I'd have a hard time deciding, but I definitely have listened to the Pearl Jam combo the most. Metallica or Soundgarden would probably be 2nd for me with a few of their combos. It's a hopeless situation...0

You know, we may have now that you mention it. I had completely forgot about that part. You've awakened memories of a life I soon forgot.dankind said:
