Many comments on the Krakow poster and people thinking it’s ugly, or that it’s a chicken, ect...
if anyone took the tour if the Wawel Castle in Krakow, you learned the legend of the dragon that lived in the cave underneath the castle. There are fire burns and scorched walls in the cave (likely from cavemen, not a dragon) which fed the legend. This image on the poster is the Polish Eagle (check the flag) morphing into the dragon, into a snake. (or the other way around). if anyone has any ideas on the meaning of the snake, please let us know!

I got a snake, man!!! One time I feed it some beer man..
Seems like a good time to list the order of people who are entitled to poster drops (with a presumption that the purchaser actually likes Pearl Jam): 1. People who were at the show who didn't get the poster 2. People who were at the show who got a poster but lost it during the show 3. People who were at the show, got a poster, but failed to get one for their son/daughter who was at the show too 4. People who were not at the show but stood outside and could hear the bass/drums pretty clearly 5. People who live in/have lived in the city in which the show occurred 6. People who live in/have lived in the general area in which the show occcured 7. People who live in/have lived in the country in which the show occurred 8. People who like the poster as a piece of art 9. People who like the poster as rock memorabilia 10. People who like the artist 11. People who are "completists" (aka poster hoarders) who are trying to get all the posters of a particular city/country/tour/etc. 12. Crazy people (most of the purchasers...I think) 13. People who are divorced or soon to get divorced based on their purchasing of posters 14. People who are collecting with the aim to trade the poster(s) for another one of their liking 15. People who are collecting as an investment toward their child's college fund 16-1,000,000: Any other idea that you can come up with besides flipping the poster 1,000.001: Still not flippers......
Reasons 14 and 15 are the same as flippers. Also, when the flippers go away, that also means that the demand, desire, and value of the posters has gone away.

Very interesting and well thought out. I’m not being a smart ass. But curious. Which number(s) represent you, specific to Krakow?

In order, the numbers that represent me are: 12, 9, 8, 13....and maybe 15--depending on what college accepts my kids and if any scholarships come through...
In response to @tubes10s, I respectfully disagree that 14 and 15 are the same as flippers (although you can make a better argument that 15 is). Remember this an off the cuff ordinal listing of poster "entitlement"....14 is pretty far down the list, but I can see that posters are like bigger versions of trading cards from our youth. Perhaps you have a Stan Musial card, but were a bigger fan of Willie Mays (btw...both players were significantly ahead of my time, but I use them as examples) and yearned for his card. If someone offered it in trade, you would have to sincerely think about it. If someone told me that they had the 1998 Sacramento (Ames Bros) poster (a poster that I could apply #'s 1, 5, 6, 8, 9 & 12 to) for trade and, after I sent them a list of the handful of posters I have from different artists, they said "I would trade it for Pearl Jam Krakow 2018", I would have to pull that trigger....
As far as college fund is concerned, that was a joke, but it isn't seeming so funny now that my oldest is a year away..... This was done a bit tongue in cheek and was loosely based on a synthesis of all the posts that dominate the threads after a poster drop.... Obviously, everyone gets a bit irritated when they suddenly see "drop" posters on Ebay within minutes of the drop...those folks don't fall into #'s 1 through 1,000,001 on the list....

Cool, my order is 12, 8, 9, 13 + my write-in answer which is: that I’m Polish-American, with a Polish crest tattoo, I’ve visited Krakow in the past and I love the city, and I plan to eat at least 20 pierogi and drink multiple Zywiec beers at the annual Polish Festival in my town this weekend.

I want to go to a Polish festival.......and drink beer and eat pierogi.....this weekend....or tonight.....
That's no problem to disagree. And I personally don't see any problem with people flipping the posters either, especially seeing that the way that they are initially sold intentionally feeds and encourages the demand that creates flippers. Doesn't mean that I like it, I just see no difference in buying a $35 poster as trade bait for one that's being sold for $500, and buying a $35 poster to sell it for $500 cash. It's the same thing, that's why I equate 14 with being a flipper. And again, I don't think being a flipper is bad. Flippers are willing to spend the time it takes to wait in lines or stalk message boards for hours, days, and weeks on end to get what they need. Other folks just aren't willing to go to that trouble, and that's ok. Because of flippers, those who aren't willing to put in the time can get what they want any time they want, but that convenience has a price that the flipper collects.

While that's entirely possible, the poster does say basilisk on it.

but are there people out there really going to that extreme ? stalking message boards for mutliple artist posters ?
I kind of thought this was just a pearl jam issue, i didn't know many other bands that are having as much demand for
posters in general. I just don't see who has time for all that ?

Kinda made me chuckle.
Everyone has a different perspective and I certainly allow room for most.
I it were a serious reason, my opinion is the #2 not more entitled than anyone else, even a flipper. Already got 1.
I laughed at the majority of them and I am a solid #1, #8, #9, #10, #11, #12, and #14 at times.
For this particular poster I am #16 - purchased for a fund raiser on behalf of someone who went to the show, stood in the line, and was denied. She intended to donate to this particular fund raiser all along.
Good intentions and outcome here....but I have done the other #s plenty of times that may cause people heartburn.
