Serious question: nobody has questions about the Pentagon and 9/11? No curiosity? No intrigue? No need to challenge the official narrative? No video? The damage site and lack of debris? 19 assholes with boxcutters supposedly turn the world upside down and nobody is supposed to question it?

My mom has carried on a weird long distance, non-sexual love affair with a man for 50 years, and he was an advertising exec in the 60s (and beyond). She says Mad Men is super realistic, lol.mrussel1 said:

There are also activists in the countries where it's an issue - people are trying to fight for workers' rights in those places. Time will tell if their efforts pay off more than they already have.Halifax2TheMax said:

I can't imagine how much nikes would cost if people were paid decent wages to make them. or the companies would just have to adjust profit margins to reflect their new expenses, since no one would pay $1000 for a pair of sneakers.Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0

So using oppressed labour is ok as long as everyone has affordable poor quality consumer goods?Give Peas A Chance…0

This is why the Trans Pacific Partnership was so important. It wasn't just about "free trade", that was a minor part. Labor standards were a really big part of it. But we walked away.0

The ridiculously massive profit margins are the cause of the ever-growing chasm between the rich and the rest of us.As for the comments about Nike quality... I have never bought anything low quality from Nike. I've got 10 year old runners that are still in good shape, and a 12 year old track jacket that is in great condition too. I think the quality is good. Not sure what products people are buying that are crappy, but I've never bought them... Has the quality of Nike only recently dropped off or what?Post edited by PJ_Soul onWith all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful.
