slabahn13 said:So 50-60 hours of sales at outside merch stands, 2 nights of inside merch stands during the shows with 10-12 different stands open, artists drops and 10 Club drops equal LITTLE opportunity to purchase merch?? NO ONE says you have to buy anything on eBay. If you don't like the price, wait for it to fall or don't buy it. Also, 10 Club is NOT in charge of merch at the shows, MrTsurt is, so complaining to 10 Club won't do anything.

I mostly get bummed that I miss out on setlist T-shirts when I have to drive or fly home the next morning after a show before they go on sale.'96: Toronto / '00: Toronto, Montreal / '03: Buffalo, State College, Toronto, Montreal, NYC I & II, Hershey / '04: Toledo, Grand Rapids / '05: Kitchener, London, Hamilton, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto / '06: Toronto I & II / '07: Chicago (The Vic), Lolla / '09: Toronto / '11: PJ20 I & II, Montreal, Toronto I & II / '13: London ON, Wrigley, Buffalo, Brooklyn I & II / '16: Toronto I & II, Fenway I & II / '18: London UK I, Wrigley I & II, Fenway I0

Honesty, I don't understand why they couldn't operate as they do now and then offer a follow up 'to order' run. Or do a pre order 'blind' option and then sell as normal afterwards. I just want posters from shows i've been to - effectively i don't care what they look like. I find myself now buying posters I don't especially want (i.e. shows i've not been to) to then try and trade for ones i've missed out on - which is a vicious circle as there's going to be people who want the ones i have but in turn have themselves missed out.Post edited by baseborn on0

They should scatter a bunch of blunt weapons in an open field. Clubs, scythes, etc. Then, at a random time, paradrop boxes of posters and set list shirts0

they are well aware of the situation and the fans' desire for a 'better' way.
Personally, I would prefer a pre-order for poster(s), and a sticker(s) for a verified ticket purchaser as well0 -

Fenway N1 was my 11th PJ show. I have been able to purchase a poster the night of the show exactly twice.
I've stood in the lines for hours like many of you only to find that posters sold out in the first hour. Apparently this is pretty common so I decided to not waste precious time standing in a line for a poster anymore.
It does sting a little when you see people walking around with 5 or 10 tubes full of posters. I'm not really interested in paying flipper prices so I just don't.
I would gladly pay the cost of the poster for a show that I bought tickets to at the time I purchased the tickets.
The modern PJ merch situation just makes me sad.

A poster add-on for 10C ticket sales would be a wonderful thing. I can't justify extending travel times to wait in line for a poster--especially this year, where apparently you'd have to be there in the morning to have a shot.

This is correct ^. Also there is a psychology of sale in play as well. Once there is a line the line only gets longer as people want what others want as well, peeceptionnif demand fear if missing out. If just posted on the site it will sit and linger as customers procrastinate or question whether they really need it or not. This is also I assume why there are limited runs in everything. Better to sell it and meet a determined profit expectation than to sit on unsold inventory that ended up costing you money and in turn could actually make the endeavor unprofitable to begin with.

As far as setlist shirts, I agree that making them available online would be a great move. Not everyone has an opportunity to line up to get those the day after a show.0 -
But a presale option for 10 Club members buying 10 Club tickets wouldn't negate the line at the merchandise booths.
It would allow those members attending the show the option to buy a poster without having to camp outside the booth hours before they open.
