Gotta say I love this band I made the best of it but flying up from Virginia and laying out for flights and rooms to go to these shows and to be parked right in front of the foul pole and not being able to see unobstructed sucked butt Getting Out of my mind helped but I’d say don’t even sell tickets behind foul pole for ten club members..out whole section couldn’t believe it... night 2 hopefully will be a blow out!

Outta my mind is the shit; was even better with a tad more tempo. You're all nuts (just kidding, it's your opinion).0

Last night’s show was tremendous. Yeah it felt a little cut short and from where I was the guitars were real muddy at time, but they still played 30 songs. What other group of guys in their 50s play this long? It’s the 2nd time I’ve gotten to hear Out of my Mind and it was fucking awesome. And I got to cross It’s OK off my bucket list
And not for nothing, I haven’t been on the forums in a long until the weeks leading up to this show. But it looked to me like a lot of the requests from the forum got played. Army Reserve, Blood, Out of my Mind, Tremor Christ, those are the ones I can remember right now. No one is as good to their fans as these guys imo. And personally I plan on appreciating it until they stop.0 -
I gotta say, I wouldn’t mind Taillights again. It was way better than I expected and EV was sooooooo into it. Tremendous cover and miles better than Draw the Line0

However it wasnt “epic”. That doesn’t mean I/we all didn’t have an epic time, but I don’t think it was epic. They can’t all be right?
ill join in the complaints about the late start. They played plenty of music but when you know 1030 is the end it makes for a bit of an anxiety every minute past 730. Seeing friends and family of the band leisurely stroll by around 745-750 felt like a bit of a kick in the nuts. Seats are in pairs, I too would have liked to enjoy another hour with all my friends before the show. And the stadium was 95% full by 7:15 so it wasn’t a case of “it’s chaos outside people can’t get in we gotta hold out until we fill up.”
Stadiums are getting played out. It’s time to get back to the intimacy and energy of arenas.
Great time. Very interesting setlist, had a ton of fun.0 -

Unbelievable night that flew right by. Love the start of this show and Release sounded amazing in the number 2 spot. Lots of songs that have not been played much lately thrown in the mix and some great versions of the staples that we all love. Can't wait now to see what Tuesday brings.
Couple of negatives that I need to mention. Crowd in my area was lame and took away from the show a bit. People sitting the whole show not singing along and just standing there. People can do what they want at a concert and it is their show to enjoy it how they want but holy shit at all the stiffs in my section. Second thing is why did the band come on so late? I appreciate them playing past the curfew of course but still unsure why they started as late as they did. Seemed to me a lot of people were in their seats early.
Where were the ppl rocking out?? Grandstand looked more bumping.
Either way had an amazing time but had to chime in bc I felt the same. Sec C8.
Maybe it's time for that grump to point out the band causes complacency at many of their shows...in the oldies section.
How excited can those fans be? They get the best seats show after show year after year.0 -

I would agree with you that these seats might actually suck butt.
What's with the graffiti on the foul pole? Fenway maintenance should clean that up. Looks like a cheap gas station stall wall.

Enough with the Springsteen 4 hr shows comment. He’s an anomaly, oldie act and far from a hard rock band that is shredding his vocals on most songs. Nobody does it like Pearl Jam. Period.0

U2? Great band but they play almost the same setlist every single night of the tour. I think we can maybe agree that we often take Pearl Jam for granted. Very few bands are this consistent, play a very different setlist every night and provide a refreshing amount of sincerity and spontaneity to their live show.0

I have absolutely no complaints about the band or set list last night but honestly the crowd in my section sucked. We were surrounded by people who at best stood there with tepid smiles on their faces, and at worst sat and looked at their Instagram feeds all night. I still danced the whole time, as did my ticket buddy, but no one else in a several row vicinity did. The woman sitting beside me stared daggers at me, even though I was careful not to even brush up against her. Now I know how much of a vibe-killer a lame crowd is. It sure made me miss the amazing GA experiences I’ve had this year in Europe and just a couple of weeks ago in Seattle.

Sounded incredible. Great show
Seats were in rightfield roof box 35 which is a great spot for a concert at Fenway.

...listening to different videos of the show today you can really hear the sound differences depending on location...
...disappointed that we were in the park at 540 and in our seats at 600 only to wait 2 hours for the guys to come on, only to cut 4 songs later
...was at 2016 night one and last night was infinitely better....LOVED Tremor, Blood, Once and Present Tense...0 -

Merkin Baller said:Great night.... it wasn’t a top 5, but it was an awesome night.
The setlist had some nice surprises, this was my first time hearing Sometimes as an opener... Army Reserve was also fantastic.
Tremor Christ was a real treat, I heard them play that live once before, 20 years ago almost to the day. What a great performance of it tonight. I was blown away.
Mike McCready is a bad bad man... I consider it a great privilege to see him perform live.
It was a fun fun first night. I’m looking forward to night 2.Bristow 05132010 to Amsterdam 2 061320180
