Still dry as a f’n bone in the west suburbs. Let’s get this rain started so it can move out by tonight.

Forecast for 60613   (where Wrigley is located)

A child's rhyme stuck in my head...
It said "Life is nothing but a dream."
I've spent so many years in question
To find I'd known this all along.
  • For what it’s worth, just saw the crew leave their hotel to head to Wrigley. With the evolving weather reports it seems like they’re going to do everything possible to get the show in tonight as long as lightning is not an issue. Soggy is better than canceled/postponed.
  • If the GA people in line say they’re setting up Wrigley, I will feel good.

The Local Brothers will not be doing anything in a thunderstorm/high winds.

All of the GA floor needs be assembled, barricades have to go up, light rigs, etc

if all that starts to go up, the show will too.

The GA floor/barricades etc. have been assembled probably since Thursday afternoon of last week
or you can come to terms and realize
you're the only one who can forgive yourself oh yeah...
makes much more sense to live in the present tense...

They disassemble the GA floor and remove barricades with only one day off in between shows? Seems like a lot of unnecessary work.

That floor in GA was slick the other night, how’s that going to be tonight??

Floor comes up, field is cleared. None of that sits overnight on the field.
They pop those panels up and load them on a little wagon.

Got it. Hope they can either assemble fast or assemble in the rain. Should be there between 12 and 1.

I just keep thinking of the scene in Caddyshack. “The hard stuff isn’t coming for a while!”
But when the Bishop keeps playing, he gets struck by lightening when he misses a putt.  “RATFARTS!”  =)
  • FWIW, I was watching local news this morning, Fox I believe, showed what appeared to be live aerial view of wrigley. If it was live then the GA and field seats are already setup. Anybody else see this too?

From looking at the radar and the speed the storm is moving, I think the brunt of it will be through the town by 6:00 or 7:00, but in the meantime, buckle up. It’s a big ball of yellow and red.

Hopefully it's gone well before the rain. Any lightning within 10 miles of the stadium, and the show has to be shut down, until it passes.

Daaaang!!!  Fingers crossed and good vibes all the way from Maryland for ya!!

(Then again all it's done here since March is fucking rain every god damn day so maybe I shouldn't send Maryland vibes. But I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope it all works out for the best.)
