Nobody to blame here, I appreciate all the efforts from everybody to try and get this done. Thank you guys so much for supporting the thread, that alone has been a major help. We were so close as it was on the setlist last night, so the intentions to play leash are there. Nice to see that these messages make their way to the band somehow. We still have Monday to have this made up! Just praying now that the show goes on with no delays. I don't mind rain and getting wet, just no delays, cancellations, or abbreviated show is what I am praying for as we can't make any arrangements right now to stay later. #PrayingforleashonMonday!Gtilley8 said:

Every show could use Leash. Could you imagine extending that song with some face melting solos? I can.98: St. Louis. 2000: Alpine. 2003: Chicago. 2006: Chicago Night 2, Milwaukee Night 1. 2007: Chicago (Lolla). 2009: Chicago 1 & 2. 2011: Alpine 1 & 2. 2013: Chicago & LA Night 1. 2016: Chicago 1 & 2. 2018: Chicago 1 & 2.

Oh shit, don't even get me started on the possibility of jamming an extra couple minutes to this. Jeff's bass would catch fire with that bass line. Let's just pray this happens tomorrow.CP218430 said:Every show could use Leash. Could you imagine extending that song with some face melting solos? I can.0 -
I've always thought Vs songs had the most room to breathe; Animal, Indifference (put out some of those Black via 98 vibes), Leash, Rats. Go not so much. But you could even turn Dissidant and Glorified G into something akin to Present Tense. W.M.A. could get weird and weird in a great way (that's a song highly underrated live - not that I've seen it but the Bonnaroo version from 08 is amazing). Blood & Daughter get the treatment but at first glance seem like it wouldn't work at all or just don't seem amenable to that kind of tinkering. Obviously Rearview is the most successful at it.
Now, I'm getting excited again. Dammit. I need to temper it. Rockin out to Bowie. No Pearl Jam today.98: St. Louis. 2000: Alpine. 2003: Chicago. 2006: Chicago Night 2, Milwaukee Night 1. 2007: Chicago (Lolla). 2009: Chicago 1 & 2. 2011: Alpine 1 & 2. 2013: Chicago & LA Night 1. 2016: Chicago 1 & 2. 2018: Chicago 1 & 2.

No reason not to get excited. I think we are all going to be pleased with tomorrow's outcome. We will have a story to tell about 2018 in the future. (Trying to stay positive) but I completely agree, to me VS is that true first PJ album, as Ten is something that seems to me was the follow up MLB album that didn't happen. Don't get me wrong Ten is a classic album that would had been a diamond record either way, but something about VS that gave the band it's true identity. Hoping we will get some PJ tomorrow.CP218430 said:I've always thought Vs songs had the most room to breathe; Animal, Indifference (put out some of those Black via 98 vibes), Leash, Rats. And they really took off after Vs and delved into Vitalogy. Vs is the album they wanted to make as opposed to Ten being the one they were supposed to make (I think that's why they never liked the original mixing and why the songs have been tinkered with so much over the years). There is a definite sonic evolution from Vs, to Vitalogy to the barrel over the cliff (which I mean in the utmost respect) of No Code and then the wilderness of Yield. I always used to think this was a band that had a 70's sound and carried a classic rock torch and that was their legacy (highly important) but I was sooooooo wrong. This is an adventurous band whose work gets lost due to their prolific life show and well their life span (still playing counts for a lot in people's books).
I haven't mentioned Leash. So play Leash.
But I do love that the thread is just a positive discussion about music. It's fun.98: St. Louis. 2000: Alpine. 2003: Chicago. 2006: Chicago Night 2, Milwaukee Night 1. 2007: Chicago (Lolla). 2009: Chicago 1 & 2. 2011: Alpine 1 & 2. 2013: Chicago & LA Night 1. 2016: Chicago 1 & 2. 2018: Chicago 1 & 2.
