Bernie has made over 2 million dollars since his "loss" in the Democratic primaries. Not bad for a socialist. Some interesting tidbits in the article :

*   In 2014, Sanders gave 4 percent of his income to nonprofits (seems kind of low for someone who wants to spread the wealth)
*   Sanders formed his own “dark money” group at the same time he railed against 501(c)4s, which are not required to publicly disclose financial information
*   The senator owns three homes, including a retreat in the Lake Champlain islands (dachas ?)
*   "like many Vermonters he and Jane have a camp on Lake Champlain.”

    Why is Bernie Sanders called a hypocrite for owning three homes?

    It’s because the folks calling him a hypocrite either don’t understand what social democracy/democratic socialism means, or they want to promote misunderstandings about it in order to thwart the intentions of his supporters.They heard ‘socialism’, and remembered hearing once that it meant the government takes all your stuff and you have nothing, and decided that if Sanders has property and is a social democrat, he’s being somehow inconsistent.The problem with this sort of thing is that’s not what Sanders is saying when he promotes democratic socialism/social democracy in policy terms.
