Ah yeah.. So are you all happy that the president signed an order to keep families together while going through the process? Does Trump get kudos for that.
Happy? Not how I would describe it I guess. It's unfortunate no matter what, but non-separation is better. As for your second question, no. You don't get credit for an issue you created. Forgiveness could be a possibility if there was ever any indication a mistake was made, but we all know that's never going to happen.

How about you, happy? Do you think he deserves kudos?

You've spent most of your time the last few posts just poking at the hornet nest for fun. Maybe a serious response this time?
If you actually read what i've posted in the past you would've seen that I've already talked about my feelings towards the issues that are going on with immigration. this has been going on for years it didn't just start with this administration. It has been going on through all the administrations.  and like I said before they only let the immigrants into this country when they need them and that's a sad situation. I'm glad he made the change in policy. I do agree there has to be a vetting process to keep criminals, terrorists and traffickers from getting in. I hope that they're making sure all that are being detained are safe from any criminals that may be awaiting the process.
It seems when it's getting close to election time, the party in office suddenly starts to change their immigration policies to get the votes for their party like the past administration for example. That doesn't make them a great president or senator or congressman, it just makes them a politician just like all before them. It's wrong to use these people as your political stepping stone. It's election time and the politicians are coming out in force to investigate the issue and "help" that's why all this is being brought up. They were seperating children from parents in the past administration. Once politicians get elected it'll back to the same.
Immigrants should be welcome in this country as long as they don't expect a free ride. Come here to work and spend your money here, not to get in and then collect benefits that aren't available to the people here.
Why are you continuing to refuse acknowledgment of how what started happening in April is completely different from what was happening before that? I don't understand it.
Why are you continuing to not acknowledge that it was happening in the past.  Children have been seperated from their parents in the past, lots of people have been deported. I've seen links posted right here that talk about it. I'm on the side of right not on the rights side or the lefts side. I try to process it all not like the far right and far left choose to do. I think the "news" stations shouldn't be called news anymore. They should be Fox Opinion and CNN Opinion.
    Interesting. Very very interesting.

No bill (at least I hope) that includes spending billions for that fucking wall will ever be passed. Make as many tweaks and add as many great policies that improve the immigration process as you want, but that wall shit is a damn anchor. How pathetic that those who supported him when he said Mexico would pay for it, still support it and him knowing that it was all lies. This is like when the elder Bush promised that "no new taxes" crap on the campaign trail and then did it anyway once he was in office. This alone should sink Trump, but xeno-fever-obia is all the rage so the true colors of these supporters shines through. MAGA motherfuckers.
    It's a hopeless situation...

I feel so sorry for the decent Americans (so those who didn't vote Trump and don't still support him), having a POTUS who will only stop being as evil as he wants to be (Evil evil too, not the figurative kind) when the public and political backlash undeniably threatens his next campaign run PLUS when his own wife and daughter has to beg him to walk it back.

I feel more sorry for those that did vote for him and still support him. Talk about "they know not what they do."
Wow, I think you're giving them way too much credit. I think they do what they do because they are simply stupid, racist and/or xenophobic and/or gun-toting and/or bible thumping hypocrites and/or greedy, selfish assholes.
Bible thumping isn't a bigoted remark?

WTF? I haven't done that at all. I VERY specifically already replied before saying that before what's happening now was absolutely NOT happening in the past, because in the past what was happening was that in rare cases children with their parents were separated from them because the parents were deemed unfit to be their guardians (i.e. somehow risking the welfare of the children by being with them), or were unaccompanied minors. These things were done to deal with the situation affecting the children, not as a political power play. That is NOTHING like what started happening in April. You ignored me then and continue to ignore it as far as I can tell. And people being deported isn't even the issue. The issue is taking children away from their parents and warehousing/imprisoning them in terrible conditions as a means of deterrent for potential immigrants and as a poker chip for Trump to get his fucking wall.
Now again, why do you continue to refuse to acknowledge how what started happening in April is completely different from what was happening before that? I don't understand it. It's like you're practicing willful ignorance. Are you aware that you're doing it? Does it take effort?

It's because that's the same spelling error the administration made in the actual executive order.  That's pretty funny.

Still there were a bunch of folks on here who said the us was the only country who did this.
    Lol

Feeling a little defensive huh? Hey... you got exactly what you asked for with your vote: McDonald Trump. Own it.
Not defensive at all, just calling it as I see it.  You can’t fight one fight that we’re the only country that does it and then fight another by changing your tune because as you all say “facts” come to light.

You dont see the difference between zero tolerance policy blanketing ALL situations and circumstances resulting in mass detentions equaling 2000 in a few weeks versus a country having to take special action 11 times in a full year? Like the article says, if the family member is deemed dangerous, maybe has a real criminal record or outstanding charge, maybe is abusive and poses a danger to the child, or some other special circumstances, the authorities may have to make difficult decisions and take special action resulting in separation. And this only happened 11 times, I have no problem with that, you may not have a choice in some sitiations.

Its really not that complicated, why do people struggle so badly with nuance and context?
I see a difference.  Didn’t say that I didn’t, nor do I think it’s complicated at all.  You can’t make a blanket statement that we’re the only ones who do this when we’re obviously not.  That’s all.  And a good day to you sir!

I could care less if Canada and Switzerland do it or if Obama personally supervised the detention.  Separating children from their parents, due to misdemeanor border crossing, where the child is not in danger from his/her parents, is WRONG , period.  It doesn't matter who did it or not.

There are some on here who are like the Team Trump Treason Administration in explaining their position 14 different ways for why they’ve done what they’ve done. They’re still wrong but they’ll never acknowledge it. To quote Kelly Ann, they have their own set of facts.

Very very interesting.
not more grammar/spelling police shit, 30?
It's because that's the same spelling error the administration made in the actual executive order.  That's pretty funny.
Sorry, i'm in pain and using partial talk to text  on a phone  to post. I'm sorry doesn't meet your grammar specifications LOL
You're missing the point.  Because your error was the same as the admin, he's alluded that maybe you wrote it for the admin.

You know what also sucks about this?  No one is talking actual reform.... house bills will fail.  We will not do any of the tough work to improve this for everyone.  Instead we will use it as an excuse as to why it's too hard.

I just hope everyone keeps those thousands of children who are already kidnapped by the government front of mind. They are still suffering and being damaged, with no end to that in sight as far as I can tell. Where the fuck are all their parents right now? How many people are frantically working on finding them all and making sure every last one of them is reunited with their kids, and that the kids are living in conditions that won't permanently damage them?

Can I have “What is I think I’m better than everyone else, Alex?”

No I don't at all. But I absolutely know for a fact that I'm better than people who support Donald Trump.

it's not just that, but it's the freedom caucus in the HOR.  They won't sign on to anything where the Dreamers have a pathway.  Tehy want deportation along with a drastic reduction to LEGAL immigration too.  Also, no amnesty or path to citizenship for anyone currently in the country.  They are the problem.
