    I just did a shit load of reading about this and here is what I learned:

    1- Very few cases before this involved the children being separated from their parents.
    2- The zero tolerance policy recently implemented is the cause of the separating of children from their parents.
    3- The massive influx of people from drug and war torn countries is not going to stop anytime soon.

    There was a lot of speculation when he left the WH that he would actually have more power and I think that has actually happened. It has allowed people to forget about the type of policy he was trying to create and that Trump was on board with it.
