So another 27 song less than 2 and a half hours
no curfew mentioned but some flu/voice talk. The wait wil continue to see what’s in store and if this is the new norm.

And yes agree that the songs mentioned like gtf alive porch ritfw dte etc make for a more predictable show. if those 8-10 are played every night, and they’re playing 8-10 less songs a night, the lesser played gems get rarer and more spread out and the shows start to feel similar

I’m reading a lot of “get rid of RITFW” in recent posts. I’ll gladly take Rockin’ over that bullshit Yellow Ledbetter any day!

They should just have a pool of their famous songs and mix up what they pick from that pool.

Over the last 2 years Ed's voice has really gone downhill, especially over the last year. He is very out of breath and always behind the song. Also just can't hit notes.I understand this is age and he still smokes etc so I get it but it's a fact his voice isn't good anymore. However now on this tour as he said he saw the throat doctor, perhaps he has been struggling with problems in recent times and now its getting bad. But this is the reason for the shorter shows most definitely. Rest of the guys are fine.

On the other hand, the first show back in what over 1 year was Santiago and they literally played just over 3 hours so :-S

    Definitely voice stuff.

Not sure why Ed didn't stop smoking twenty five years ago, but that's his choice and these are his consequences.

We are so spoiled, most of rock shows don't last more than 1,5 hour and we are complaining for 2,5 hours shows with completely different setlists every night. Pearl Jam is one of the best if not the best live act in the world.

I really hope he takes care of his voice. I know each tour there seems to be at least 1-2 shows where he is under the weather, so hopefully this is just a small blip.  But seeing a couple throat doctors could be reason for concern, IMO.  Would hate to see shows get postponed because of it.

No more back to back shows, but still lots of travel.  Rest up!!

I think there will still be a surprise marathon show once in a great while when the band is feeling it or if it’s a special one off evenT.

but I absolutely think this 26 song 2:15-2:30 show set is the new normal, and I think It’s what we will see from here on out, including the US stadium shows this fall

as others have said, it’s impossible to stop aging, and the smoking has definitely played a role.  He’s got every right in the world to smoke cigarettes, but with choices come consequences

They just did 31 songs twice in SA. Eddie also did it numerous times in the 2017 solo tour. I do not think this is the norm at all or maybe that is just me and wishful thinking. If they do this whole tour and nothing breaks 30 then ya they are definitely shifting that way. I remember going to Worcester 2 and people were complaining how short that show was. 29 songs I think. Also the ballpark shows are going to pass 30 songs every show. No way they cut back on those.

How concerned should I be about Ed's voice issues in regards to Rome concert....did it seem like this could derail the tour?

No, but when you have every type of therapy at your disposal, and it threatens to ruin your career, it does seem like an odd choice.

I've no idea how he's going to get through tonight's show, I bet he's working hard on that setlist as we speak!

I bet the stadium shows will go over 30 songs.

With 40,000 people paying a good chunk of change, you can put on your big boy pants and play five more songs.

It's an awkward one for sure as yes we are still getting good length sets but; when there is no support act it's a tough price point

Show tonight postponed to mid-July.  Feel horrible for the band.  Hope Eddie can recover by the rest of the shows.
