    She asked for money in exchange for her silence on an affair she was 50% a part of (compromising information).   Sounds like blackmail to me.

    Let's worry about what's important, the character of Stormy Daniels, and not that the current President of the United States posseses judgment so poor that he didn't know having an extramarital affair with a pornstar might open himself up to blackmail. Because if we worry about that then we might have to worry about what else Trump's done over the years that might open himself to blackmail. And by who.

    Are you sure she blackmailed him? Do you know that for sure?

    I’m not saying it definutely didn’t happen, but I also haven’t seen anything to prove that it did. The fact that she was paid money not to talk about an affair isn’t proof of blackmail. Legal nondisclosure settlements happen all the time and there isn’t an allegation of blackmail. If I enter a nondisclosure agreement over a severance pay settlement, have I blackmailed my former employer?

    Trump behaving as Trump apparently does, it’s just as likely that he had the affair and then had Cohen arrange the hush money in the way he seems to have done many times.

    I just read that Rudy hasn't ruled out that there were other payments made to other women. The actual quote is: “I have no knowledge of that, but I would think if it was necessary, yes,” Giuliani told George Stephanopoulos in an interview on ABC’s “This Week” about the possibility.
