Funny you mention that. That is actually THE song that first got me in to checking out Aussie artists. It was in a BMX video a buddy of mine had featuring fellow Aussie flatlander Simon O'Brien. But yeah, I like the Hoods quite a bit.
I'd have to say Illy is easily my favorite. Some others I get into are 360, Drapht, Bliss N Eso, Horrorshow, Thundamentals, and perhaps more R&B than hip-hip but Daniel Merriweather is great, too.

I'm gonna have to re-examine Kendrick Lamar. I tried to get into him last summer at the advice of a couple friends, but it just didn't do much for me. I do recall his performance at the CFP National Championship was pretty decent though so I may have to give another go.

Never been a fan of Jay-Z. Although he did work on the only decent Coldplay song since X&Y.
