  • 2016 reissue of WYWH sounds amazing.
Obsessed bad with this band. All I've listened to the past 2 months.
    Not a bad thing.

Making up for many years of ignoring them.

Another Brick in the World Part 2 was my first ever 45rpm single & I have to admit that there is plenty of Floyd I am only getting into. The Wall is the most amazing piece of conceptual work ever recorded & for Christmas my wonderful girlfriend got me a book that goes through every album recorded with a fine tooth comb, every Floyd enthusiast should have in their in collection. Saw Roger a few months ago & have to say it was one of the best shows I have ever seen. Never saw Floyd but this was just as good.

    Agreed on The Wall accolades!

Best album from start to finish... ever. If you haven't seen the movie you should.

The newer "Roger Waters The Wall" is pretty incredible. It's a full concert from the revised Wall tour he did a few years back with some excerpts from his dealings with the death of his father mixed in.

Very well done and fucking awesome on Blu-Ray with a nice tv and surround system.

    Highly recommended.

I want to get Gilmour live in Pompeii. Seen youtube parts of it.
I just listened to Animals twice.
    Dogs is something special.

I like The Wall but it's below Animals, WYWH and DSOTM for me.

I haven't listened to them much in recent years but always loved Wish You Were Here and Dark Side Of The Moon. They're a bit of a rite of passage.

I'm very envious at how Gimour is self-taught at guitar and singing. I wish I could play and sing like him. I love his voice.
Even Waters' voice I like. And his lyrics, wow.

I think that would have to be Shine On You Crazy Diamond. Have A Cigar is more about the band, at the time of recording.

Oh of course! The movie is pretty cool though- definitely worth a watch (even now).

I purchased Nick Mason's book "Inside Out" this morning. Have to wait for it to ship from the UK. Something to read when I have time :)

I had my eye on a sealed 4-LP Pulse album.
    Thing sold for $560.
Needless to say, I didn't get it.

I just received my copy of Inside Out.
It's an updated version which includes Nick's reflection of the years since their final performance at Live 8, didn't know it'd be updated so I am super happy.

^ ^ I watched disc one of the dvd yesterday for the first time, pretty cool.
Looking forward to watching disc 2, hopefully today.

I just finished reading Inside Out.
    Pretty awesome book.
I only wish Nick discussed the writing/recording of each song on WYWH and Animals.
Roger was such a dictator. Such a shame the band couldn't get along.
The part I loved was towards the end of the book when Nick was talking about the RNR hall of fame night and how Roger wasn't there but they did a live cross on the big screen and Nick likened it to something out of Big Brother or North Korea hahaha

Finally got around to listening to The Division Bell and A Momentary Lapse of Reason.
I cannot get into the latter, the former is awesome.
    Still prefer Roger's lyrics though.

Gilmour’s wife wrote the best late-era, Waters-less Floyd lyrics.

I haven’t read it. But how sad is it that even Nick Mason thinks that?
