I go to golf tournaments and I drink, probably too much. Know what I don't do? Act like a jerkoff to people who are literally working.
Agreed. It seems to be getting worse and worse every year. How big of an asshole do you have to be to yell out "it's in the hole" after every shot?!?
Get in the bunker is unacceptable. Saying a player's wife's name is unacceptable. Yelling for the sake of yelling is unacceptable.0 -
Need less Webb Simpson and that hideous follow through in my life0

If you are okay with an area with a high density of good courses, I can give some advice about the Philly area. Basically if you are around the area, play Glen Mills.
Some others in that area that I like are Broad Run and Loch Nairn.
Some good Pocono-area courses are.....
-Jack Frost Golf Club
-Mount Airy Casino and Resort
-Skytop Lodge
-Country Club of the Poconos
Also, Scotland Run in Jersey is a course I like a lot.
Broad Run is really nice, but it's also one of the hardest courses I've played.
Gilbersville Golf Club is a really nice 27-hole course in that area worth checking out as well.
Broad Run is a glorious. How does Glen Mills stack up compare to it? I have heard nothing but good things about that and also Sky Top.Might be playing a course called Conklin Players Club in a couple months. It's in NY just over the boarder. Supposed to be really good.
Applecross Country Club is nice too. It's out past Downingtown.

Barstool isn't all bad...pardon my take is prob my favorite podcast. Big Cat and PFT are both hilarious....check out their podcast sometime. I bet you'd like it....it's not what you'd expect at all from Barstool. But yeah, there's definitely a huge "bro" scene that goes along with it and the saturdays are for the boys shit is beyond lame.

Some good golf in that area. En Joie is where the BC Open was hosted (now a senior tournament). Saw Tiger there in 96. Lots and lots of good golf there. Lot's of the Freds (Funk and Couples). Got drilled by a ball hit by Peter Jacobsen. Felt like a serious bee sting. Sucked when it was opposite the British and was the death of the tournament.
Hiwatha links is another solid one.
Ely Park. That's my muni. Probably my favorite course in the world. Not necessarily for the course, which is a solid layout for a muni but So. Many. Memories. Hundreds of rounds, gambling on the practice area and when around 18 or so, the bar. Helped out with carts. Good times. That and the 9 hole St Lawrence State Park track at the Thousand Islands. That was me and my old man's spot. 9 holes followed by a hot dog and a coke then out on the boat to ski and fish.
Golf is the best. Ah nostalgiaPost edited by Cliffy6745 on0 -
Yeah, my buddy's friend lives up north of Scranton. So its like 45 minutes or so from him. We might go up there for a weekend in a couple months or so and check it out.
Think I've heard of Hiwatha.
I always play the same 5 or 6 courses. Want to make an effort to switch things up a bit this year.

Played nine holes yesterday in 50 degree weather, and less than 12 hours later there is 3 inches of snow on the ground. Come on spring.....0

Spieth has been laying low in PGA mediocrity. Would not be surprised if he has a great week at the Masters. I think there are too many players peaking right now though that have a lot more talent than he does when their best games are compared to each other.0
