In terms of the tarrifs as a free trader I don’t like it but I do think it is probably necessary. As somebody who believes the world is in a very perilous state the US will need its steel industry to be on a much stronger footing in order to prepare for and/or prevent the worst. The tariffs also put a lot of pressure on China which may or may not relate to North Korea agreeing to come to the table on essentially the very same day. Again this move is fraught with peril but if you believe the world is headed for difficult times anyways then it could in fact be very rational.
Is Trump crazy or crazy like a fox? Truthfully I have no idea but I continue to believe that America can use “crazy” to it’s advantage.
What galaxy are you living in? What push back has Team Trump Treason effected in Syria? The Turks have stopped opposing ISIS to focus on the Kurds, Assad is blasting the crap out of the last Syrian opposition hold outs and Putin is alleged to have used chemical weapons and has a sizeable mercenary force within Syria. Is it because US forces defended themselves from attack by Russian mercenary forces that you believe Team Trump Treason has responded to Russia? Exactly what has transpired with regards to Ukraine? And the oil and gas sector? What about it? The US isn't exporting oil, we're just consuming more of our own, allowing OPEC to sell more to Russia and China. You call that a strategy for dealing with Putin? Meanwhile, Team Trump Treason hasn't implemented the sanctions passed by congress nor said or done much for Putin poisoning a former Russia spy with a suspected nerve agent in Britain, our closest and longest ally. Not a fucking word or deed to punish or send a message or anything. Big shrug of the shoulders.Yup, tariffs are necessary? Tell that to the American farmers that are likely to pay the price of retaliatory tariffs and who currently enjoy a trade surplus. And ask our European allies what they think of Team Trump Treason's off the rails announcement of tariffs. With no consultation with any of his staff or "advisors." Team Trump Treason hasn't put forth a candidate for ambassador to South Korea and announces he'll meet with Kim of North Korea without consulting with his national security team, congressional leaders or the current darling of the right, Nikki Styxxx. We have a former reality television star suddenly capable of negotiating nuclear policy with a rogue regime with nuclear capability? Team Trump Treason's impulsive moves, without thought of the potential consequences and absence of expert input is nothing more than moves to remove negative news from the front pages, whether Stormy Daniels, economic advisors and other staff resigning in droves, Jared Dear Boy's corruption or Team Mueller's connectivity with dots.
You keep mentioning the perilous times of the world. The only thing we should really be fearing is the complete and total incompetence of Team Trump Treason. But don't fret too much, the midterms are approaching and after that, Team Mueller's indictments and eventually Team Trump Treason's impeachment. Unless you continue to believe that the brilliant headlines will be disappearing any day now, eh Professor? Team Trump Treason has abdicated American leadership in the world. I can only imagine your scathing critique had a Hillary, Obama or Trudeau had behaved so recklessly upon taking office. 6 lies or misleading statements a day, on average, for every day Team Trump Treason has been in office. And you believe America can use "crazy" to its advantage.

Lots of trash talk tonight; life in prison or death penalty for drug dealers, made the Olympics safer, wanting to run against Oprah and Keep America Great. Stupid reality show. Might as well be Jerry Springer or Maury.

I can only imagine your scathing critique had a Hillary, Obama or Trudeau had behaved so recklessly upon taking office. 6 lies or misleading statements a day, on average, for every day Team Trump Treason has been in office. Uhhh...I don’t believed I feared HRC I just believed she would be terrible...a status quo candidate in an era where the status quo is no longer acceptable. In terms of the email investigation you know that it is ongoing don’t you? That is primarily what the DOJ Inspector General report will be all about. Add to that the Arkansas FBI investigating the Clinton Foundation and an outsider investigating the FISA process on behalf of the DOJ and there is actually a ton happening under the radar. The silent professionalism of these investigations is a beauty to behold. Leaks aren’t necessary when the facts appear to be on one’s side.josevolution said:

On Russia Trump is doing just fine but again...I am very happy that you have now embraced the Mitt Romney position that you laughed at just a few years ago. Amazing that it took Trump’s election to move democrats towards a more hawkish position on Russia that the GOP has been arguing for for about 70 years.

A re-escalation of a nuclear arms race and your conflating defensive military action with offensive military action and you wonder why we fear Team Trump Treason? What exactly did Team Trump Treason achieve by bombing an empty airfield after giving notice? Absolutely nothing. Hilarious, crazy even, that you have faith in Team Trump Treason, who doesn’t even read the PDB nor have the attention span to listen to a condensed version. You probably still believe that Team Trump Treason is smarter than all his generals, eh Professor? And the thrust of your mother jones article thus far seems to be the shock of collusion between Team Trump Treason and Russia, which continues to be borne out by Team Mueller’s continuing investigation and Team Trump Treason’s complete lack of criticism of Putin and other authoritarian regimes. It doesn’t appear to me that it is a “non-response” to Russian aggression. In fact the administration appears to be pushing back against Russia in many different ways...the main being Syria, Ukraine and most importantly the oil and gas sector. Certainly sanctions of some kind might be worthwile to add but in general American energy dominance will ultimately hurt Russia the most.rgambs said:Where is BS to tell us how the tarrif war and non-response to Russian aggression are a super brilliant plan that we just can't see?

On Russia Trump is doing just fine but again...I am very happy that you have now embraced the Mitt Romney position that you laughed at just a few years ago. Amazing that it took Trump’s election to move democrats towards a more hawkish position on Russia that the GOP has been arguing for for about 70 years.
