Any dumbass can put together a YouTube video that seems half plausible to someone gullible, Flat Earth videos would be the perfect example.
It takes a much higher standard of truth (or bullshit skills) to write and publish a non-fiction book.
The point though was that the bullshit is easy to spot in that format, and if it isn't, well then at least you've been fooled by a pro.

Even if Tesla had left us some radical revision of the standard and quantum models, that certainly wouldn't have contained something as ridiculous and foolish as a flat Earth and the silly pseudo-scientific "proofs" of it.Monkey Driven, Call this Living?0

YesWho wouldn’t want more PJ shows? Of course!
The extent to which I support the cause would depend on the details of the cause and candidate obviously, but generally speaking why wouldn’t you want this? More shows! More shows! More shows!"Red Rover, Red Rover, Mike McCready – Take Over!!" - E.V.

1 meme in the whole fucking thread, sorry not apologizing, especially when I have far more post where they are my words and my thoughts, and I ain't worried about your commentary, you live your life, I live mine, you'll probably never understand my perspective, you would of had to have taken far more LSD in your life, all the members in the band have taken acid, so I am not really concerned about anybody's holier than thou judgements on the subject either, just to save some commentary.mfc2006 said:Stop answering questions with memes and actually answer with your OWN words and this may progress.Post edited by Big Bank Hank on0

NoI don’t care who they support I’m only interested in new music so until they release new material , I’ll stay away from their shows ..jesus greets me looks just like me ....0

You don’t know me and I don’t know you. That we can agree on. That being said, you don’t know my perspective or where I'm coming from at all, so please don't act like you do. I'm sorry that I pointed out your love of memes in the thread where you only posted one. I could run through the threads you've started/posted in and count them, but that's not the point.Big Bank Hank said:

My post above wasn't rude, but merely an observation that some people may want to actually hear your thoughts instead of a meme. I'm not trolling or trying to incite a riot. Quite the opposite, in fact. Maybe I should've just sent you a message.
As for the acid/LSD comment, like I said earlier...you don't know me or what I've experienced in my life. And I certainly don't understand how/why this is relevant at all. You like PJ. Guess what? I do as well. If they all want to take acid, that's their choice.
Again, not trolling or inciting a riot. Just responding. Cheers.I LOVE MUSIC.

I would just like to see them tour, period. Not 7 random shows at massive stadiums. Something like Metallica just announced. If the band wants to draw off the current political state with some of their content then go ahead. Just get on the road and blow my socks off with Rock!0

NoThe Vote-For-Change Tour in 2004 was cool to me in a "Whoa, a Pearl Jam concert when I wasn't expecting one" way. But it was nothing more than that for me. And they definitely shouldn't do another one. Now more than ever it seems that voters aren't interested in hearing celebrities preach their politics. Of course, those same voters voted for a celebrity that preached his politics so who knows.2000: Camden 1, 2003: Philly, State College, Camden 1, MSG 2, Hershey, 2004: Reading, 2005: Philly, 2006: Camden 1, 2, East Rutherford 1, 2007: Lollapalooza, 2008: Camden 1, Washington D.C., MSG 1, 2, 2009: Philly 1, 2, 3, 4, 2010: Bristol, MSG 2, 2011: PJ20 1, 2, 2012: Made In America, 2013: Brooklyn 2, Philly 2, 2014: Denver, 2015: Global Citizen Festival, 2016: Philly 2, Fenway 1, 2018: Fenway 1, 2, 2021: Sea. I think playing shows aimed at raising funds for a specific issue, like homelessness in Seattle at the Home Shows, is the better way to go about it in 2018 and 2020.

After the Trump presidency, do Americans need musicians telling them to vote for change? I would hope not ... but then again Trump did win once...Give Peas A Chance…0
-
            Yes
Wouldn't it be great to answer that question with, "No. Americans are independent thinkers who take a critical look at the issues and the candidates and place their votes based on smart choices and a good understanding of logical consequences." Wouldn't that be great? In the mean time, I have no problem with musicians who are intelligent encouraging their fans to do things that are better for them than voting in clowns. That's the sad reality.Meltdown99 said:After the Trump presidency, do Americans need musicians telling them to vote for change? I would hope not ... but then again Trump did win once...

Crack me up!!! No, this country needs people to rally in the streets, on every street, I'll go so far as using the term "revolution" and it needs to be done now, not two years from now.Halifax2TheMax said:NyetDon't come closer or I'll have to go0

Kind of a no brainer. Anything that promotes a full on tour. I dont care if they call it a vote for change your. As long as they have a new record out when they do it.will myself to find a home, a home within myself
we will find a way, we will find our place0

            NoThis isn't a rally that I'd attend.
I'm more central in my thinking so I'm sure I wouldn't enjoy this.0
