Theo would be a no-brainer even with the team on the road.
    Kerry Wood?
    Guys from Cheap Trick?

There'd be a better chance that Tom Morello would show up before Corgan.
    Kerry Wood would be cool.

I got it...David Ross!  Now that would be a perfect fit. Beloved by Cubs fans. Ed loves the guy. He’s a PJ fan. Let’s make this happen!

That ain’t happening. I don’t think billy likes Ed too much. Too many interviews from him to link but no way he’s allowed onstage
I was thinking the same. I have no clue what relationship they have (if any) but I’ve heard Corgan is kind of a prick, or at least used to be.  Too much ego.
He's worse now than ever in his prickishness

Who will it be this year?  I’d like to see someone like Len Kasper (Cubs broadcaster) jam with the band.
Not saying it can’t happen again but, Cardenal was there in 2016 during All the Way (Night one).

He's a White Sox fan though
There is a mutual respect there. Ed gave him a shout out at the HOF induction. The baseball allegiance is irrelevant.

Bill Murray would be great. I heard he and Eddie did a lot of post game partying together in 2016.

No more Cheap Trick. I have seen them with PJ at least twice if not three times already and I'm sick of hearing freaking Surrender.

You never really had to begin with.

Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.

Funny. Pearl Jam played Surrender the last 3 times I've seen them - at MSG2 and both Wrigley shows in 2016.

I also got it at all three of those shows as well as Quebec City. I'm pretty over it.
