    McGregor will "absolutely be stripped of lightweight title" if he doesn't come back until September, per Dana White. that would mean he's held two titles, never defended one.

    You can't be the Champ and not take any challengers.  
    I've always been of the mindset that just you have to successfully defend your title to be a true Champ.
