  • it's amazing he is playing venues as big as they are with only 1 cd out(right?) i'm shocked there are that many people who know about him. obviously the CMA's were swooning over him a year or two ago and he's been writing/playing for a long time but how is he headlining these shows with only 1cd out? has anyone seen him headline a show yet? just curious. im gonna go for GA pit tickets...hopefully the presale works.
  • not a fan of his presale "single barrel" and "small batch"
i just can't justify those prices having not seen him ever play live.
not even sure i can justify paying over $60 for a up close ga pit ticket when those go on sale...maybe the lawns is where we'll be :(

Ditto here. I'd really like to see him play but can't justify the VIP prices. I had a pair of ~$30 fan club seats in my cart but they were located waaaay on the outskirts of town. Hoping to be able to snag decent seats during the public on sale.
  • I have to meet him next month.. Do i ask him if he likes Pearl Jam or what?

I saw Stapleton this past Saturday night - what a show!  The GA floor was the way to go.

Any thoughts on From a Room Vol 2? I have it digitally but haven't gotten to listen yet. Love Traveler and Vol 1. Any word on Vol 2 vinyl as well? I saw a few places that Vol 1 was a quality vinyl, but have read multiple review that Traveler is awful, which sucks because it is a great album.

I hope Traveler gets a quality pressing at some point.

I love Traveler and the vinyl sounds fine to me. Not a fan of Vol. 1, as it just sounds like a weaker rehash of Traveler. Haven't even bothered with 2 yet. Maybe I need to give 1 some more spins.

Traveler is my least favorite of the three, but I think it sounds fine. I own all three on vinyl. Vol 1 is my favorite, but Vol 2 is quickly getting up there.

  • Saw him open for the legendary Tom Petty at Wrigley Field and he kind of stole the show.  I'm not a big fan of country music but I am hooked on all 3 of his albums.  Great live act too.

I heard the same thing from a friend who went to that show.

I was there too and I agree. I'm not a fan of country overall either, but I do like Chris Stapleton and seeing him live was an absolute treat. I wouldn't mind going to one of his headlining shows.

I just got and listened to Vol 1 on vinyl and it is fantastic. It has a very subtle warp that doesn't impact playback. It is dead quiet, as it needed to be for a couple tracks in particular. Sound is full with his vocals up front and clear. Very happy with this. I got Vol 2 as well and will update when I can listen.

Still not sure if it is worth getting Traveller after some reviews I've read on the pressing

Vol 2 vinyl sounded similar, seems to be recorded well, but this one was very dirty and had a lot of surface noise. It needs a good cleaning and I'll try again.

He's playing right here in my town this summer so it was a no brainer for me. I already liked most of his studio work (and I'm far from a country fan), but seeing him open for Tom Petty at Wrigley last year sealed the deal and I just knew I had to see one of his headlining shows.
