Chris Stapleton

Love that Traveller cd. It's no surprise he was picked by Tom Petty to open a few shows this year. Just wish it was the show I'm going to

I like Traveler, have wanted to get the vinyl. But read MANY poor reviews of the mastering and production.. so I just stuck with the digital files. Wish the vinyl was better, would really like to have it.

Also, saw him at Bonnaroo this past year, and I thought it very good.

Hmm, this is very disappointing as I was hoping to grab it at some point too

the vinyl was one sale for Black Friday - for like $12? I can't remember exactly. Either way, I bought it. Love it.

How is the sound? All I have read about reviews is how loud and compressed it sounds.

I have this in vinyl as well and think it sounds fine. Now I never listen to my records with headphones and my ears are a little beat up.

Not a country fan either, but really dig this guy. Have not listened to all of Traveller, but 'the live stuff I have seen this guy do is incredible. Don't think his live presence is very well captured on the songs I've heard off the album.

He killed it for The BB King tribute at the Grammy's over a year ago. It was him, Bonnie Rait and Gary Clark Junior

thanks for the heads up on this. glad i get the chance to see him live, finally. !!
  • it's amazing he is playing venues as big as they are with only 1 cd out(right?) i'm shocked there are that many people who know about him. obviously the CMA's were swooning over him a year or two ago and he's been writing/playing for a long time but how is he headlining these shows with only 1cd out? has anyone seen him headline a show yet? just curious. im gonna go for GA pit tickets...hopefully the presale works.
  • not a fan of his presale "single barrel" and "small batch"
i just can't justify those prices having not seen him ever play live.
not even sure i can justify paying over $60 for a up close ga pit ticket when those go on sale...maybe the lawns is where we'll be :(

Ditto here. I'd really like to see him play but can't justify the VIP prices. I had a pair of ~$30 fan club seats in my cart but they were located waaaay on the outskirts of town. Hoping to be able to snag decent seats during the public on sale.
  • I have to meet him next month.. Do i ask him if he likes Pearl Jam or what?

Any thoughts on From a Room Vol 2? I have it digitally but haven't gotten to listen yet. Love Traveler and Vol 1. Any word on Vol 2 vinyl as well? I saw a few places that Vol 1 was a quality vinyl, but have read multiple review that Traveler is awful, which sucks because it is a great album.

I hope Traveler gets a quality pressing at some point.

I love Traveler and the vinyl sounds fine to me. Not a fan of Vol. 1, as it just sounds like a weaker rehash of Traveler. Haven't even bothered with 2 yet. Maybe I need to give 1 some more spins.
1991- Hollywood Palladium, California with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains -RIP Magazine Show Oct. 6th
    1992- Lollapalooza, Irvine, California
    Nothing since then. I suck.
2016- Fenway Park, Boston - Both glorious nights
    2022- Oakland Night 2

Traveler is my least favorite of the three, but I think it sounds fine. I own all three on vinyl. Vol 1 is my favorite, but Vol 2 is quickly getting up there.
