I still don't like this as I love, love , love Lukin for it's explosiveness.
What is the best format for downloads to be played on iPhone 7/iPad Air. Haven’t ventured into the world of downloads yet. Any help is appreciated
Download as ALAC onto your computer. Then connect your device to iTunes, go to its Options Page and check the box that says “Convert higher bit rate songs to [128/192/256 kbps] AAC. Then sync to your device.
Think I'm gonna get the full album shows digitally and the Vaults on CD. Was it MSG2 that had the guest appearance by Sting ? Might have to grab that one digitally as well.

A while back i saw a thread in which someone said there was a very special show from 2000 and i think it was Jones Beach, is that Wantagh? If so there were 2 gigs there, can anyone say which it was and what was so special about it? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for reply. Is there a way to do any of this without a computer? I'm working exclusively of an iPhone/iPad
PJ is consistently great. I don't see why the ballpark shows are any better than the arena shows that year.
I saw 2 other shows, and both were great, but Wrigley 2 was bananas... Oceans, Footsteps, Off He Goes, Immortality, Black Red Yellow, Deep, Don't Gimme No Lip, Of The Earth, Blood, Sonic Reducer, Surrender, Time Has Come, I Got A Feeling... Great performance, great crowd energy.
Crowd energy does play a big role, you're right. It's something that you really can't get out of a boot unless you were there and have first hand memory of that vibe.
Nugs just announced the same sale as 10C for many of the artists in their store, Pearl Jam included. Unlike the 10C store, Nugs has 2003 and 2005, though not on CD - only downloads for those two years, both lossless and MP3.
Something tells me this is going to be a VERY expensive weekend!

I think you can actually play ALAC files (but not ALAC HD) natively. They’re just gonna take up a lot of space. Each show is around 1 to 1.25GB on average.
I actually just read that iOS 11 supports FLAC playback within the Files app, but not the Music app.
Since disk space is limited on iPad/iPhone, I’d recommend just downloading as mp3.
If you have iCloud Drive set up, you may be able to store them on there, freeing up the space on your device. I honestly don’t know in regards to that as I’ve never used it.

Yes. They played 3 shows at Jones Beach that summer. Night 2 was broadcast on the radio and and a strong, solid show. The It's OK tag on Daughter was amazing (included on the Touring Band 2000 DVD). And as good as night 2 was, night 3 was just as good, IMO.
Night 1 was not so great. There were some sound issues if I remember correctly. My seats were better the other 2 nights, so maybe that is clouding my judgement. But you can't go wrong with either of the other 2 shows.
