An update to a previous post I submitted today......I changed my mind about going to Safeco and bought Foo Fighters tickets tonight in addition to the ones I have for Portland. At least if PJ ends up doing a show or two at Safeco, I'll know whether or not it's a good experience. I hate ball park and stadium shows, though. Hoping the FF show will change my outlook!

Heard from two sources(not sure where they got the info) that Pearl Jam is playing at Wrigley on the 27 and 28th of July. I have my doubts since Foo Fighters are playing on the 29th and the 30th and they would destroy the field playing 4 shows in a row.

    FF are 29 n 30
i could see 4 in a row because they have the plastic down over the grass. They just need time after to let it breathe. In 13 I believe Jason Aldean played 2 aafter pj so 3 in a row.

Id be more suspect of pj playing stadiums back to back. They like the night off in between and leaves a weather buffer after 13.

Sorry miss typed it in a hurry. 29th and 30th for Foo Fighters. Also be surprised if this was true since Fenway is rumoured in late September making a large gap between the ballpark shows.

Also Amsterdam is looking fairly expensive for hotels on the rumoured dates. If you are not fussy on rooms but would like something that is private and not a hostel set up The XO Hotels City Centre seems to be the best deal for 47 euros a night. There is no window in the room but you have a private bathroom and great location plus free cancellation (make sure you select the right one). Thought I would give those interested a heads up.

that's what I was thinking.  I once took a cruise and stayed in an inside cabin with no windows, I will never do that again!!!

Ya we did a cruise too and a veranda is a must for us. Too claustrophobic if not. Hotel room with no window is strange for sure but for those just looking for a private bed and bathroom it is a great deal.

This is what I'm afraid of!  We're doing a Disney cruise next year (my first cruise) and I have zero interest except for the kids' enjoyment. Staying in a tiny dorm room sounds awful to me...I need to check our itinerary and hope we have a window.

lets get some pj US info going too :)

I had a room like this in Stockholm in 2014.  I was by myself and just needed to sleep so didn't really care.  It was actually a very swanky hotel, but they added rooms basically in the basement that were small with no window, felt exactly like an interior room from a cruise ship.  I got a good nights sleep, a nice hot shower, and a top notch free breakfast for like the equivalent of $50 USD so I was thrilled given how expensive it is up in those parts.

I’ve stayed at such hotels in stockholm too. Perfect for crashing one night after a show.

I will say this about a cruise. You probably will spend very little time in your room but the veranda was great for morning breakfast and to hang out when my wife was getting ready for supper.

You're right. That's the plan for us. Spend as little time in the room as possible.

Amsterdam hotel prices must be caused by some big convention/expo/trade show whatever.

Is Rock In Roma festival supposed to take place next year? I know they were supposed to play in 2016 (there was some leaked internet banner ad showing PJ and Iron Maiden back then)
