train is the best option. takes 4.5 hours, enjoy a beer on board and perhaps again meet Mike and his family on board too ...

Is the train from Prague to Berlin reliable? Travel by train isn't a feasible option here in the states.
And...I met Mike's parents on the way back to Prague from Berlin last time @alesek, you guys shouldn't have slept in0 -
Thanks! If the rumored tour dates are somewhat accurate, Prague and Berlin will probably be my 2 stops. Both cities train stations are downtown which is great. I'd prefer to take a train since I've never been on one (subways not withstanding).0

@coach4tl
Jeremy, I headed north to Stockholm, you remember? So yeah, I missed your singing Happy Birthday to Mike's mum on the train...
Obviously a train from Prague to Krakow would be best option too. Roads will be packed during the first week of July in Czech Rep. as school holidays starting together with 2 days of national holidays.

Krakow - Prague or other way round (god knows how it would really be...), always best by train - cca 6-7 hours with that stop in Ostrava. There might be a direct flight too with Wizzair but we gotta wait for the summer flight schedule to be release yet.
Travelling through Europe is easy. No borders. Random checks maybe.

How economical would it be to rent a small car one way from Prague to Krakow?To quote the 10C from Newsletter #8: "Please understand we have a lot of members and it is very hard to please everybody. If you are one of those unhappy people...please call 1-900-IDN-TCAR."

So presuming the dates are correct...if you wanted to do all of the Italy shows, Krakow, Prague & Berlin you could be looking at trains as your mode of transport? The exception been flights from/to your original destination and a flight from Rome to Krakow? Looks interesting.

The recent tweet is also interesting. The dates that someone threw out show a gap between Rome and Prague. Did we get a confirmation that Hungary wasn't getting a show?

Trains are awesome in Europe. Much rather do train than drive. Great way to see the countryside while relaxing with a beverage.
unless you want to stop at different places on the way train is the way to go. Train stations are in the heart of the cities.Post edited by bootlegger10 on0 -
As said, roads will be jammed as school summer holidays starting together with national holidays.

WHY ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT PRAGUE (never been, been talking about going for years – IS THERE A REASON FOR ME TO GO THERE? :O )"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0

Do the summer prices vary quite a bit from the winter prices with the train and airplane? Seems like it is only 15 euros and a 6 and half hour train ride. From Prague to Krakow. Crazy cheap if you ask me.0
