jose, it's not unreasonable to me to have the dog's owner(s) be responsible for the bills.  The dog was just being a dog; the owner dropped the ball leash on this (get off of my fucking dog!).  Hope your pup is OK and not traumatized.

Due to unforseen circumstances, there probably won't be very many more pictures of this beauty posted here. I'm very sad to say I will be losing her in a very unexpected "divorce". I don't even know what else to say other than, "if I had known then, what I know now".

I'm so sorry to hear this, WYTM.  I imagine both situations hurt like hell.

    Good thoughts to you.

So some sad news. One of our doggie parents has died. PJaddicted lost her battle with breast cancer. She hasn't posted in a long time but I thought I'd let old timers who remember her (and Petey and Monty!) know.  :frowning:

I'm so sorry to hear this!  I remember Petey's many adventures and the heartbreak of his early death.  Even though we haven't heard from her in a while, I always enjoyed her posts.  As I recall, she was a great lover of all animals but her Dobes had the special place in her heart.

She posted this once and I've remembered it each time I've lost a dog and each time I've gotten another one.  It says better than anything I can think of how to turn grief into hope.
It came to me that every time I lose a dog, they take a piece of my heart with them.  And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart.  If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are.

    I HATE cancer.
