    I was relaxing a couple of hours ago and out of nowhere, I got this very uneasy feeling...like this is bad. I couldn't figure out who this feeling was about. I thought of one friend but I had just spoken to him earlier today. I kept waiting. Nothing. I called him. No answer. Minutes later, he calls me. This just happened to his dad...



    He's awaiting surgery.

    I had a neighbor who told me about the time his arm got caught in a paper roller at a print shop.  It pulled his arm all the way up just past his elbow.  Messed him up pretty badly.

    In my late teens, I applied for a job at an ice packing plant.  They wanted to but me on the line where the ice blocks got bundled with metal bands.  The guy that was doing the hiring started out there.  When he showed me he was missing a couple of fingers I said, "Ahhh, no thanks."  :lol:

    Good gawd, I find shit like that very disturbing (partly due to having gotten two fingers cut up badly in a power lawn mower in 1975 costing me the tip of my left middle finger.)

    my buddy worked in a furniture factory in NC. he said when you were down to two fingers, they promoted you to foreman.

    Update: Surgery went as well as can be expected.  He lost his two middle fingers.  On the one hand, he won't be able to flip anyone off with his left hand.  On the other hand, he will be permanently making the "I love you" sign in ASL.  Yes, I know I will burn in hell for that pun.  But the list is so long already...why not?

    That is awful RogueStoner. Very sad when someone loses fingers. :( At least he didn't lose a thumb I guess, but damn. Those are two extremely useful fingers. Hopefully he can get some kind of good prosthetic to help him out. Also, I really hope he's right-handed.

    Not sure is this is a MotherFu**er!! or not, but have hyperacusis and having a crown replaced today was sheer torture.  Cutting though the old crown's metal was BRUTALLY loud.  And the the crunching and breaking off of the pieces of old crown shredded my brain too.
