Stumbled across this today. Pretty killer and has a bunch of the new songs.

I've already listened to this three times, I enjoyed it more then record thus far.
  • New release is definitely squashed (compressed) , sounds better in the car. :(
Feet Don't Fail Me Now is just killer turned up loud in the car.  After listening a lot in the car the last week I'm on board with the new record.  Some great stuff.  Not as good as what they've done in the past but I like it.

That beginning makes me feel like I should be driving through the desert in a turbo boost car in a Mad Max flick. Love the haunting sound.

According to Google Play, this will be my 13th time through the album digitally. Not counting the multiple vinyl spins at home. Still loving it a ton. On my 2nd listen this morning already at work. My office suite mates might get sick of hearing my raucous music soon ;)

Feet Don't Fail Me is my favorite song off the new album.  Was kinda disappointed/shocked they didn't play it in philly.  Heard it was on the set list though.  Like i said we did get the live debut of Head Like a Haunted House which was awesome live though so that kinda made up for it.

    GREAT show in Columbus tonight!!
We got soaked thanks to the remains of Hurricane Irma...
but still had a fun time with good friends!!

    Royal Blood was really good...
    I'd definitely see them again!!

One of the BEST sounding outdoor shows I've seen at Express LIVE...
Queens Of The Stone Age were just INCREDIBLE and the new songs sound soooo GOOD!!!

Didn't take a bunch of pictures because of the rain,
but the weather didn't dampen the spirit of the audience at all!!

Here's a link to the setlist if you'd like to see what was played.

    https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/queens-of-the-stone-age/2017/express-live-columbus-oh-be23d8e.html

We got a great poster by Brian Ewing too.

Love that set list, Dave! Seeing "Go With The Flow" starting the show reminds me of when they opened with that at the Natasha Schneider Benefit show back in 2008, with a really slow, sort building/brooding version of the song before they exploded into the latter half. Like seeing that they're peppering the set with some older gems here and there. Can't wait to get my QOTSA fix next month!

Glad to hear you enjoyed it!

    Had a BLAST buddy...
Feet Don't Fail Me, Domesticated Animals & The Way You Used To Do are really good live!!
My only criticism would be that Villians Of Circumstance was a little flat & really seemed to suck the energy out of the crowd, but it was still a decent performance.

I'll look forward to hearing your thoughts after your shows!! :rock_on:
