    Latest tweet.  I agree completely.

Memorial service today for beautiful and incredible Heather Heyer, a truly special young woman. She will be long remembered by all!

nice tweet. however, the way he talked about Heather's mother and how much he appreciated her comments about HIM. it was disgusting. he made it about HIMSELF.

    AGAIN.

A quality tweet with acceptable grammar and wasn't about Trump at all.
    I wonder who posted it?

While the paths forward remain very murky, what's crystal clear is this: Trump won't change. And on his current path, this is a presidency that will collapse around him.
That's, obviously, bad for Trump. It's bad for Republicans. But, most importantly, it's bad for America. We need moral leadership. And we're not getting it out of the White House right now. And it doesn't appear that's going to change.

If you want moral leadership then put out a better candidate that will defeat Trump.
you can't possibly believe that Hillary was worse morally than Trump.  Anyone who bought that story line before the election belongs in the idiot thread.

I didn't say that.  Hillary didn't beat him though.  And the dems or any party for that matter still does not have a viable candidate in the running yet that will beat him either.

CNN has made these dire predictions every other week for 8 straight months.

The dire prediction that trump won't change?

    So JC...

You're all over the media for using Heather's death to push an agenda. Are you equally as bothered by shithead's tweet- politicking and pretending to care about the deceased (killed as she protested against him)?

I don't recall the band ever putting out statements or using social media for politics. they use public performance as their avenue.

Ive tried to stay away for awhile but these latest events and comments from Trump cannot be ignored.

Its pretty simple...Trump is not fit to be President.  End of story.  He is making it seem ok to be a racist, bigot and full of hate towards certain groups of people.  Sickening.  I do not understand how anyone can defend this assclown at this point.  He MUST be removed from office.

^ why do we need the band to say anything every time Trump does something stupid. I'm sure it will be addressed in full on a new album, during publicity for the new album, and on tour. There's literally zero history of this band not speaking up- so we should just assume that precedent will remain.

This is the upside to the situation.

Our favourite bands are just as choked about the Trump debacle as we all are. Anger is burrowing within them and their creative juices are flowing.

This is the case for sure.

Trump is a giant racist piece of shit.
Despite what some believe, there is nothing "funny" about racism. If you think it's funny, please grow up.

Agreed.  Nothing funny about racism at all. The people that won't accept the condemnation of racism by a President are funny.
We all condemn your asinine comments and complete lack of human decency. Your snarky statements would fit right in with those alt right assholes.
Your comment gives a perfect example of what President Trump means when he says "many sides".  You immediately with scorn place people in a box called alt right because they don't think like you and call them assholes.  You further go on to say that if they can't see your point they are part of the problem.  I strongly disagree. I did not contribute or was part in any way whatsoever of that shitshow that happened.

I was listening to the Radio Lab podcast from a few weeks ago about the digital audio manipulation software that has been created and was thinking how difficult it is going to become for digitally altered video and audio not to spread like wild fire in the current age of social media access. We keep developing and creating technology that we can't even fully control knowing that it will be used for the wrong reasons. All of this is coming to a head because we have a President who thinks he's being innovative in his approach to communication via tweet even though he promotes inaccurate information without due diligence fact checking.
    It's a hopeless situation...
