I have complete faith we will get the chance to buy a $150 version of this movie. Limited Super Duper Deluxe.
    The question is when? Tomorrow?
I don't remember how the Pearl Jam Twenty announcement worked. Did they announce the theatrical showings first and then the presale later? My guess is it will work just like it did then.

This is terrible news lol.  I mean don't get me wrong, I'm going to watch the shit out if it regardless, but the last thing we needed was another compilation film that doesn't come close to the feel of a full show.  Here's hoping that there is a deluxe version with at least one complete show.

i agree, this doesnt excite me that much. hopefully theres a deluxe edition with a complete show. its been so long since live at the garden.

plus im a met fan so i hate the cubs lol

No! I hate movie theaters. Now this delays the home video even longer.

But good for those that like the theater experience!
nah, this doesn't really happen anymore, and especially with these one-off type events. don't be surprised if the release date of the home video is the same day (or around the same day) as the screening.

Other than a few theatre screenings, nothing is confirmed yet, so nothing has been scratched.

I really enjoyed pj20 in the theatre but I don't think I would enjoy watching a 3 hour concert.
You might be surprised. Years ago Widespread Panic did a live simulcast at theaters around the country and I went to watch it with a friend in NYC and was surprised by how good the experience was. The theater was probably 70% full and people were up and rocking like the band was there. Depending on the venue and their particular seats a lot of people end up watching a good portion of a concert on a huge screen anyway. I know if PJ ever did something similar I'd be lined up early to get a seat at a local theater.  =)

The screening of the Fenway show 1 show on the big screen in Boston was awesome! I can only try to compare that to what this would be as a 3hr show! There was not a bored fan or moment in that place that night. It would have been even better in a movie theatre and more comfortable.

I also remember seeing PJ20 in the theater in Calgary traveling from Florida the day before the PJ show there. The fans there did not want to leave. If the film was twice as long we would have stayed and been happy!

Othet than Imagine in Cornice, I haven't seen other concert films in the theater. But I always see previews for Grateful Dead or other performances from Fathom events before the feature film. So it's been done before

Yeah, I think people are expecting it to be a full concert length worth of concert footage. I'm expecting more along the lines of an Immagine in Cornice type film.

Me too.  Isn't that what the description that's been going around pretty much says? That was my takeaway from it, anyway.

Agreed. Man I hope the deluxe version includes the complete audio of both shows, after PJ20 and Wrigley 2013 not seeing the light of day.

I'm sure this will be cool and all, and I'm excited for the first official video release in some time. However I'm not a Cubs fan and would much rather get a complete show than another chopped up compilation. Even something as simple as the footage of Fenway 1 that they showed us at House of Blues would be amazing. Thank The Maker for YouTube.
