And this administration instills a lot of confidence that no matter the crisis, it'll be handled intelligently and brilliantly.

Anyone else concerned about WMD's 2.0? Maybe Kelly was brought on to testify to their existence in front of Congress. We need to occupy a country in Asia according to the Magic 8 Ball, which I think is in line to replace Sessions or Tillerson.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Americans about the perceived threat from North Korea after it was revealed yesterday that they created a miniaturized ICBM missile capable of hitting the U.S.

"I do not believe that there is any imminent threat [from North Korea]," he said, per AP. "Americans should sleep well at night."

I lived in South Korea for over a year and did talk to many people who were born in North Korea and yes there is a big distrust of America there that still stems back to the original Korea war.  The Korea people i met were great people and were liberal minded people but they even had a great dislike of America for what they perceived was america not caring about the people in N. Korea.

do you think Trump knows all the hype is over an anonymously sourced report in WAPO that nobody in our government has ever seen?
    Slow news week I guess

I have been to S. Korea several times, have many friends there and have met nobody who feels that way.

    Anecdotal is great.

I am not saying that all people there feel this way at all but looking back at my post i can see why you would think I was saying that.  should have been more clear.

Trump: "Terminal brain cancer is not contagious"
McCain: "I don't know what he's saying and I've long ago given up trying to interpret what he says,... That kind of rhetoric, I'm not sure how it helps."

"I take exception to the President's comments because you gotta be able to do what you say you're gonna do," the Arizona Senator told KTAR radio Tuesday, in an appearance with his daughter Meghan. " I don't think that's a way you attack an issue and a challenge like this."

    "but this time it's different..."

While North Korea regularly threatens to destroy the United States and its allies, the report was unusual in its detail.

I'm not sure what the answer is to North Korea... nobody has been able to figure it out for like 60 years, as well as almost 25 of their nuke program.

I would say that a tangible and purposeful threat to launch missiles with indeterminable payloads to Guam should be reason to convene a meeting of the United Nations.  Nobody wants "Fire and Fury" either way, so maybe a coalition can be formed to get the Jong Ils out of power once and for all and free those people.  Like.... maybe Trump's threat was a good move if it was aimed more at our allies/UN?  It caused Kim Jong Un to overplay the hand, justifying the need for gloabal intervention finally?

Here's one solution: Covertly smuggle in some great western music for the common N.K. person and download some of there's.  Explain to them that you just want to share music and culture.  We would get to hear some cool exotic sounds and they would get to hear some excellent western music.  Finding common ground in cultural appreciation would ease tension between peoples.

North Korea WILL NEVER attack Guam or any other country.

Even crazy Kim knows they would be obliterated in seconds.

I tend to agree. I also have the "well, you never know - anything's possible - crazy things still happen" thoughts, but I still think the chances of the nut ever actually doing it are slim.
