Why isn't Trump's casino getting fined $10 million for money laundering 2 years ago more of a talking point?
"Contact: Steve Hudak (703) 905-3770Immediate ReleaseMarch 06, 2015WASHINGTON, DC – The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) today imposed a $10 million civil money penalty against Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort (Trump Taj Mahal), for willful and repeated violations of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). In addition to the civil money penalty, the casino is required to conduct periodic external audits to examine its anti-money laundering (AML) BSA compliance program and provide those audit reports to FinCEN and the casino’s Board of Directors.
Trump Taj Mahal, a casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, admitted to several willful BSA violations, including violations of AML program requirements, reporting obligations, and recordkeeping requirements. Trump Taj Mahal has a long history of prior, repeated BSA violations cited by examiners dating back to 2003. Additionally, in 1998, FinCEN assessed a $477,700 civil money penalty against Trump Taj Mahal for currency transaction reporting violations."
$10M is a pretty big f'ing fine.
I wonder how much of Trump's wealth is held off-shore? $10M is nothing if you're money laundering $100s of millions. and earning 1%-5% for your troubles.09/15/1998 & 09/16/1998, Mansfield, MA; 08/29/00 08/30/00, Mansfield, MA; 07/02/03, 07/03/03, Mansfield, MA; 09/28/04, 09/29/04, Boston, MA; 09/22/05, Halifax, NS; 05/24/06, 05/25/06, Boston, MA; 07/22/06, 07/23/06, Gorge, WA; 06/27/2008, Hartford; 06/28/08, 06/30/08, Mansfield; 08/18/2009, O2, London, UK; 10/30/09, 10/31/09, Philadelphia, PA; 05/15/10, Hartford, CT; 05/17/10, Boston, MA; 05/20/10, 05/21/10, NY, NY; 06/22/10, Dublin, IRE; 06/23/10, Northern Ireland; 09/03/11, 09/04/11, Alpine Valley, WI; 09/11/11, 09/12/11, Toronto, Ont; 09/14/11, Ottawa, Ont; 09/15/11, Hamilton, Ont; 07/02/2012, Prague, Czech Republic; 07/04/2012 & 07/05/2012, Berlin, Germany; 07/07/2012, Stockholm, Sweden; 09/30/2012, Missoula, MT; 07/16/2013, London, Ont; 07/19/2013, Chicago, IL; 10/15/2013 & 10/16/2013, Worcester, MA; 10/21/2013 & 10/22/2013, Philadelphia, PA; 10/25/2013, Hartford, CT; 11/29/2013, Portland, OR; 11/30/2013, Spokane, WA; 12/04/2013, Vancouver, BC; 12/06/2013, Seattle, WA; 10/03/2014, St. Louis. He still is. But he was an idiot expanding an investigation into the sitting President and then got fired for that investigation. You're, again, looking at the wrong headline. An FBI director was fired for investigating the president. You can do any fill in the name of those involved and what happened would still be wrong.BS44325 said:

There is never good timing for this type of move but one could argue it is actually the best the timing could ever be on the "timing scale" if something like that even exists. Rosenstein was confirmed by a huge bipartisan margin and that was an absolute necessary first step. Follow that with Hillary coming out of the woodwork to blame Comey and add to that Comey's incorrect testimony on the Emails/Weiner laptop issue. I get that short term people will shout "Russia" but everbody knows that there is no "there there" as Clapper and other democrats confirmed it last week. The Flynn angle might continue in the short term but it is all pretty much meaningless. Comey was damaged...nobody on the left or right had faith in him and he had to go...the FBI could not continue under those conditions.ledvedderman said:
I don't think you get it. I think he should have been gone long ago. But the timing of this is so clear that it's because of the Russia investigation. You say that is why he was fired. I disagree. Either way the investigation...if there even is one...can continue under the new FBI leader. That is how the FBI is supposed to work. Faith needs to be restored to the FBI. There is a reason why people have been shouting for a special prosecutor/independent commission...they didn't think Comey could be trusted to do his job. People can't argue that on the one hand that Comey is trustworthy and on the other hand that a special prosecutor is necessary. You either had faith in the man or you didn't. Most didn't. That is why he was fired.ledvedderman said:

It is a major conflict...I don't deny that at all. There is no "win" for Trump on this. Trump will nominate somebody that will have to be approved by the senate...it will drag out the story for quite some time. In the long run however it will be better for the country to have a functioning FBI. I think Trump is confident that the Russia story is a joke and won't care where this goes. Time to get on with the bipartisan need to get rid of Comey...he can handle the conflict accusations.dignin said:

Quit with the bullshit talking point on Clapper. He made very clear in his testimony this week that he asked to be excluded from updates on the investigation. He neither knows if there is or is not a there...there, because he asked to be pulled out of the update loop. If there was no there..there, then was are there subpoenas coming from a grand jury and from the Senate committee now?BS44325 said:

Regarding the timing, it's buffoonery. Trump praises Comey for his Hillary work in November and assures him he has a job in January and now he's gone? I advise you to read Rosenstein's letter very closely. Please tell me where he recommends termination. Find it please. I challenge you on that. He conspicuously does not, because he's covering his ass. All the criticism's in the letter existed as Jan 20th, yet Trump or Sessions never removed him. Strange.0 -
On the contrary...I don't think he's an angel at all. Access Hollywood! Hello! My point is that his supporters do not give a shit. They never did and they never will. They think Trump firing Comey and meeting with the Russians the next day is fucking hilarious. I'm sorry but it's true. The most amazing thing Trump ever said is that he could walk down fifth avenue shooting people and his supporters wouldn't care. I wasn't so sure when he said it then but I totally believe it now. His skeletons are baked in the cake. He will be judged on results. Corruption will only be a problem if it occurs on the job.dignin said:
I remember someone talking about how this story was dying out and going away too. I think you should start waking up to reality.BS44325 said:
Delusional is believing the opposite without seeing any evidence. Clapper, Feinstein etc. support my version of events.dignin said:
This is delusional.BS44325 said:
I get that short term people will shout "Russia" but everbody knows that there is no "there there" as Clapper and other democrats confirmed it last week.ledvedderman said:
I don't think you get it. I think he should have been gone long ago. But the timing of this is so clear that it's because of the Russia investigation. You certainly can see from a PR angle that this was awful timing. And then to meet with the Russian ambassador in the fashion that he did today? Who the hell is advising him on public relations?!? That's who should be fired. When you're trying to prove you're innocent DONT DO ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING A GUILTY MAN WOULD DO!!! FUCK!!BS44325 said:I'm too busy to comment and nobody cares what I think anyways so I'll just let this marinate

Trump should just run this on a loop for the next week.
Your boy Trump, even if he has nothing to do with Russia...which is highly unlikely....has so many people looking into his shit you know they are going to turn up some skeletons in his closet that will bury him.
Unless you think he's an angel. All those years in business? I bet were looking at just the tip of the iceberg.Post edited by BS44325 on0
