Nice to get Toews back out there last night. Solid win against the Rangers....Darling is doing a great job filling in for Crawford.0

At the beginning of the season I changed all my passwords at work so they have an 81 at the end and Hossa is having a great year so far. Sometimes it really seems like they don't even prepare for these games.0

They came out flat in the 1st period, but seemed to control the game in the 2nd and 3rd periods....Rinne had an awesome game. Definitely think that they will bounce back tonight.mca47 said:Sometimes it really seems like they don't even prepare for these games.

Working for the Park District of Highland Park in Illinois we have what is called the SMILE Fund. The SMILE Fund is a grant-in-aid program in which local residents can apply for a scholarship, based on financial need, for participation fees for programs and memberships that we offer. In 2015, over $100,000 was awarded to families to participate in day camps, athletic programs, early childhood classes etc. The list goes on and on. Bottom line we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to SMILE regardless of financial stability. SMILE is under the Park District's 501c3 umbrella and information about SMILE can be found here pdhp.org/parks-foundation-highland-park/
In 2016, we hosted the first annual Champions Banquet recognizing our youth athletic programs and those that make them possible while benefitting the SMILE Fund. Chicago Cubs legend, Fergie Jenkins was our keynote speaker and was fantastic. Through this evening, slightly under $10,000 was raised for the SMILE Fund via ticket sales and the amazing silent and live auction items that were available.
The 2017 Champions Banquet is set for Thursday, May 25 in Highland Park and features, Chicago Blackhawk legend, Denis Savard as our keynote speaker this year. More information about the event can be found here pdhp.org/event/2017-champions-banquet/
I would love for any and all local fans to attend and make this event something special for the community in which I work and serve daily. Plus you can meet, have your picture taken with, and get an autograph from a NHL Hall of Famer! Pretty cool.
If you have any questions, would like to attend, or even donate an item or money to our fund please reach out.

Take a seat, buddy. You're gonna miss the next game0

Well that was a fucking disaster last night. Nashville has been playing great defensively...blocking so many shots. Not many quality chances for the Hawks.0

The only thing that still gives me hope is we were down 2-0 to the Blues in 2014. Buuuuuut we also lost those first two games in OT and actually scored a few goals.Star Lake 00 / Pittsburgh 03 / State College 03 / Bristow 03 / Cleveland 06 / Camden II 06 / DC 08 / Pittsburgh 13 / Baltimore 13 / Charlottesville 13 / Cincinnati 14 / St. Paul 14 / Hampton 16 / Wrigley I 16 / Wrigley II 16 / Baltimore 20 / Camden 22 / Baltimore 24 / Raleigh I 25 / Raleigh II 25 / Pittsburgh I 250

Yeah, they were in those games. I was pretty shocked when they brought the same exact gameplan in to the second game. "Well, what we tried in game 1 didn't work, so let's do the exact same thing..." Awful. I fell asleep on the couch after the 2nd period and they were up 2-0. Woke up and the postgame show was on talking about a Hawks loss. Would be nice if Toews showed up....the captain hasn't scored a goal in his last 12 playoff games. Can't believe it's looking like this team will be knocked out in the 1st round 2 years in a row......wonder if Q will start feeling some heat.0

2nd most points in team history this season - he's probably untouchable right now. However, if they have a subpar season next year or a another 1st round exit, I'm sure the heat will be on.Star Lake 00 / Pittsburgh 03 / State College 03 / Bristow 03 / Cleveland 06 / Camden II 06 / DC 08 / Pittsburgh 13 / Baltimore 13 / Charlottesville 13 / Cincinnati 14 / St. Paul 14 / Hampton 16 / Wrigley I 16 / Wrigley II 16 / Baltimore 20 / Camden 22 / Baltimore 24 / Raleigh I 25 / Raleigh II 25 / Pittsburgh I 250

Oh yeah...I doubt it would be soon, but it's just brutal for a team with this much talent to get knocked out in the 1st round 2 years in a row.HesCalledDyer said:2nd most points in team history this season - he's probably untouchable right now. Especially to a team that's only beaten them 5 times in the last 3 seasons.Star Lake 00 / Pittsburgh 03 / State College 03 / Bristow 03 / Cleveland 06 / Camden II 06 / DC 08 / Pittsburgh 13 / Baltimore 13 / Charlottesville 13 / Cincinnati 14 / St. Paul 14 / Hampton 16 / Wrigley I 16 / Wrigley II 16 / Baltimore 20 / Camden 22 / Baltimore 24 / Raleigh I 25 / Raleigh II 25 / Pittsburgh I 250

Absolutely pathetic fucking performance by this team. I don't even know what to say right now...so shocked.0

3 goals in 4 freakin games. Damn near shut out 3 of the 4 games; took an empty net/power play combo to score last night. So disappointing. Will be interesting to see what they do in the offseason. A lot of bloated contracts on this team right now.HesCalledDyer said:3 goals in 4 freakin games. Damn near shut out 3 of the 4 games; took an empty net/power play combo to score last night. Pathetic month of April.

Toews had a really bad year, hopefully he'll bounce back. I almost feel like something off the ice is bothering him. He just never seemed to have that focus and leadership he's known & loved for this season. His body language last night after he scored, you could tell he just wanted to get the game over with and go home.
Defense really needs an overhaul. Too old and slow. Seems like every game this season we were outshot by a wide margin. Crawford is way too inconsistent at goal and lets in so many stinkers. I don't know if Darling is the full-time answer, he seems to do better in short sprints.
Definitely will be interesting to see what moves are made over the summer.Star Lake 00 / Pittsburgh 03 / State College 03 / Bristow 03 / Cleveland 06 / Camden II 06 / DC 08 / Pittsburgh 13 / Baltimore 13 / Charlottesville 13 / Cincinnati 14 / St. Paul 14 / Hampton 16 / Wrigley I 16 / Wrigley II 16 / Baltimore 20 / Camden 22 / Baltimore 24 / Raleigh I 25 / Raleigh II 25 / Pittsburgh I 250 -
Not sure if I would call it a bad year from Toews. His point total is pretty similar to what it has been over the past few years. They were still the top team in the western conference so they were obviously doing something right.HesCalledDyer said:Toews had a really bad year, hopefully he'll bounce back. Absolutely agree that the defense needs some fresh blood. TVR didn't do much this year to inspire much confidence. I still say that trading Nick Leddy instead of Sharp at the time is one of the worst moves Stan Bowman has ever made. Trading away a 23 year old D-man instead of an aging winger....just awful.
Not a great year for Crawford, but don't think things would have ended up any differently if Darling had been their starter all year. Just don't think Crow is worth $6M per year especially when you see the rest of these bloated contracts on this team.0
