Yeah, you make sense as far as keeping Noel for insurance. But, Noel gets hurt too. Okafor is a dinosaur in today's game who can't play D. He can score the ball though. 76ers were in a damn if they do, damn if they don't situation. I like Noel more the Okafor also. The Juggler said:
My problem is that he overvalues Okafor and under appreciated Nerlens.cutz said:
Maybe the trade isn't as bad as we think? Is Nerlens Noel worth the money to be a back-up?The Juggler said:
No.Jason P said:Should have traded for John Wall when his stock was low and DC was butt and try to assemble a team to win today. Choose known quantities instead of future assets.
Wall and Simmons would never have worked out well. Horrible trade yesterday but the team is still set up as well as they've been in the last 30 years for the most part.
But I get your point and agree he's not with that much as a backup but that's why I said I would've been okay overpaying him. And they could have always done a sign and trade if need be or moved him at a later date. I just feel like he is a more valuable player than Jah. And you'd be overpaying also for insurance in case Embiid does get hurt again.
WITH THAT SAID....I've always liked Richaun Holmes and am happy to see him get him more minutes. I think he's a better fit with this team than Jah too...
I do wonder what the 76ers could've got with a sign & trade with Noel?0 -

Scorching, yet all too predictable take, Mr. Hayes.pjhawks said:uh oh Embiid going in for another MRI. not good. and to think since Juggler declared him healthy he has played in one game.
However.....and please, let me be clear, I am NOT an anatomist.....but in just looking at my own body right now, it appears as if my right foot is, indeed, NOT, the same thing as my left knee. Pretty sure the same thing can be said of Embiid. The foot's fine. If it wasn't he wouldn't have stepped on the court this year.
In other news, it looks like Dario "HE WILL NEVER COME NEXT YEAR" Saric is a leading contender for ROY now.

Dinosaur is right. Never more on display than against a team like Golden State. A minus 15 last night. Ideally, I'd be starting Holmes if I were Brown but you gotta "showcase" him I guess.cutz said:

bad back and bad feet lead to other injuries due to over compensating. Not saying for sure that is what happened but only you could declare a guy who is going to play 31 games all season "healthy". how many games would Simmons have to play to be healthy on the Juggler chart? The Juggler said:

Holmes - best gig in Philly. the less you play the better the fan base thinks you are.
the Simmons injury is the basketball gods getting back at the Sixers for not trying under Hinkie for 3 years. karma is a bitch.0 -
When you said he would "never be healthy" last year it was in regard to the foot injury that kept him out last two years. The foot is healthy. If it wasn't, he would not have been allowed to step on the court this year.pjhawks said:

Karma nonsense/Not knowing much about Holmes/Not thinking Dario would come over/Having some kind of bias against foreign players in general/Overvaluing Okafor------yuck. Just go back to not watching this team like you said you did after Larry Brown left. Your takes are tough to stomach.Post edited by The Juggler onwww.myspace.com0 -

Don't think you need a top 3 pick this year but Kings are only 3 out of the 4th worst record which would give us a 38% chance of cracking top 3.www.myspace.com0 -

and until this year why would I even attempt to watch a team that didn't give a fuck about winning and has shit on their fans for 4 years? hell even you admitted just a few days ago they were fucking their fan base.0 -
4 years? You've said you stopped watching after Larry Brown left. Stick to St Joes when it comes to bad basketball teams.pjhawks said:
