    2) PHD? really for what? How many people are u up against?

    3) Are you going to be a Librarian?

    1) I feel quite prepared for my interview. I don't believe there's something else I can do. Love your Greek.

    2) The title of the PhD research project is: The effectiveness of tools and practices in emulation for preserving computer games and digital art for future use. In simple English :) : Digital Preservation. I don't know the exact number of applicants.

    3) No. My dream is to pursue an academic career in the near future.

Once again, thank you for your positive thoughts! :D

You must be a Jeff Ament fan like me? His Graphic arts are kinda similar to todays media arts... Pj radio shut off.... The sound quality is nightmarish, but I can't stop. Video Games? right?

You want to be a teacher? After all that school? At least contribute your ideas to the masses once in a while?

    :D

    1) Not only video games, but also any digital object of our cultural heritage.

    2) Not a teacher. A university professor.

I feel like you're the interviewer and I'm the interviewee.

After all these 10 long years, I'm just about to make it to the other side! :glasses: I submitted the PhD thesis 10 days ago, and now I'm waiting to be called for the viva voce examination.:worried:Here's to minor or no corrections at all! :lucky: It's been a great journey! I wouldn't change a thing! :joy:

Can I have some "Good luck!"s? :prayer:

P.S: Has anyone been through a PhD viva before? If so, any hints?

Well, someone I know had the good fortune of having an examiner who was feeling ill and getting worse, but felt obligated to go through with the viva, knowing how problematic it would be to cancel and reschedule. It lasted less than 40 minutes before they just passed him and said examiner had to leave, ending up later that day at the hospital to have his appendix removed.

So, hey - maybe something similar will happen for you ;).
