That does look great. I feel like the structure of the cards around the poster (straight lines, right angles) balance out the chaos of the image. That's not a negative criticism of the image in anyway. I love the poster and it's chaos. It's hard to see sometimes and I like how you balanced it out.rbhester said:5/3/92 Omaha, NE

Yes, that Wrigley was custom from Hobby Lobby. I chose the wood because it matched my floors very closely and I liked the pitted wood look for a baseball theme. I got the white ones, including Greenville, done at Hobby Lobby too. I felt like while really "helped" the poster if that makes sense. A red, black, white theme throughout. I used a red mat and charcoal grey mat. They did the whole nine yards. Wrigley was $125 and Greenville was $105 if memory serves me correctly.mrussel1 said:^^ Nicely done. Was that frame custom sized for you? Seems quite unusual. I like the wood frame. I debated doing a blue wood frame with mine to give it the baseball look but ended up not. I may switch it though if I find one I really like, or one that I can stain myself.
I happened to look at your other photos in that bucket. Where did you get the white frames? They look great with certain posters. You actually made Greenville look good which is no small feat. That is literally last in line to frame for me right now because I wasn't sure how to make it look decent.

Thanks! I feel like putting cards on the top and bottom "balanced" it as well despite the busy nature of the poster. I'm happy with how it turned out for sure.shetellsherself said:

I just got these back yesterday. A fellow forum member (screaminreel) is doing framing and matting services now and I had him do these two:
I'm really happy with how they turned out. He did a fantastic job on everything from the quality of the material to even the suggestions for the color combinations. Trevor is a good guy and you should give him a shot if you're looking to get something framed. He just posted a new thread titled "Matting & Framing Services Available" that has all of his contact information.0 -

I just took my Wrigley Faile to Michaels to get framed. It was $130 after their "80% off." I've read a lot on here about $79 deals, etc. Some of the line item charges include acid free foam core backing, preservation, preservation fit and spacers. The rest is the frame and glass. No mat. Just curious if anyone knows if all of this is necessary or overkill. The guy is cool, seems to know his stuff and appreciated art, so I don't think he's trying to hose me. That said, I'd rather pay $80 or so if the "extras" aren't needed. Thanks for any insight.0

I've gotten picky with framing. A lot of the big box places don't have the posters value in their head. I always pay for UV or Museum plexiglass to prevent any color fading. I also make sure they don't mount my posters to any boards. Always make sure they use an acid free boards and they don't attach it. Posters are collectibles, and big box stores know how to not do the best jobs. Always pay the extra for good local jobs!bbiggs said:I just took my Wrigley Faile to Michaels to get framed.
