Pearl Jam - Big Day Out - Triple J Rumour

Was in the car today listening to the radio when i request for "Rearview Mirror" came on..

The DJ then went onto say how Neil Young is headlining the Big Day Out with Arctic Monkeys.. That is confirmed.

She also mentioned that she heard a little rumour that PEARL JAM may be making their way down to Oz for the tour also. Its just a rumour at this stage though she mentioned!!

Imagine that!!!

Did anyone else hear this???

    i have yet to hear this romor but i DID saythe other day that the boys just might head that way in order to have an ENDLESS SUMMER!!!! :D

    heard on JJJ as well
    sounds sweet, especially with My Morning Jacket and Neil Young confirmed and KoL rumoured.
    PJ would love a trip to OZ with their fav friends/artists!
    I had it all once I gave it back

    i have heard the rumour, but i hope it is not true!
    their own tour would be just fine for me!
    don't want to arse around doing 6 BDO's at $150 a pop, and less of their own shows

    yeah, but i heard months ago almost straight from the horses mouth that there were plans for early in the year, straight away i thought BDO!

    i still hope for their own tour, not a BDO based one, but will not complain if it becomes true :D

    Waaaay over BDO's and I really don't know if I want to battle with thousands of teeny boppers, who possibly don't even know any of PJ's songs other than a couple or radio hits :rolleyes: BDO sucks IMO and I don't even think I'd bother :(
    I'd rather them just do a proper tour here WITHOUT BDO :(

    If Pearl Jam are coming down here in January to perform at the Big Day Out it obviously means they're gonna do some more shows .. as in an official tour.

    Well that's my theory and I'm sticking to it. :D

    this would be awesome already buying tixs to BDO because of Uncle Neil and now this rumour.. crazy. But PJ have been rumoured to play BDO for years now.

    I agree with your theory :) I seriously doubt they'd come all the way here just for BDO.

    What about what happened years ago, when those people got injured? I thought they werent going to play events like that anymore?

    Still there have been rumours on the radio before about PJ performing at BDO. I wish we had something more to go by. :o

    I'm gonna be broke enough already doing the whole Aus tour......maybe I could squeeze Perth BDO into my budget??? I hate BDO, but if you're going, I could just strap myself to your back and you could do your emu run and get us past all the idiots, to the front! :D
