    oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

    The only way you'll get me at BDO is if PJ play BDO ONLY....with no concerts of their own.....and I seriously doubt they'd come all the way here just to do BDO - I'd be VERY disappointed if they did :(

    if they do it they will probably do a mini tour like they did on the east coast

  • straight up you guys should head over to the live section and start a Aus/NZ 2009 tour rumours thread, now they have no reason to lock it up.
    {if (work != 0) {
    work = work + 1;
    sleep = sleep - work * 10;}
    else if (work >= 0) {
    reality.equals(false);
    work = work +1;
    }system("pause");
    return 0;}
  • So, who's an international band that has played at the BDO but also done side shows?

    Pretty much all the international acts will be guaranteed to be doing some side shows, at least in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

    it should really be there...
    2003 - Sydney x3,
    2006 - Reading Festival,
    2007 - Katowice, London, Nijmegen, Rock Werchter,
    2008 - MSG x2, Hartford, Mansfield x2, Beacon Theater,
    2009 - Melbourne, Sydney,
    2010 - I watched it go to fire!
    2011 - EV Brisbane x3, Newcastle, Sydney x3,
    2012 - Manchester x 2, Amsterdam x2, Prague, Berlin x2, Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen,
    2014 - Sydney, EV Sydney x3

    I wave to all my Friends... Yeah!

    Here's hoping it gets moved then, instead of locked :)

    If Pearl Jam do ANY side shows i'm there, and will still debate over going to a BDO gig.

    I've said it before, but I would have a hard time knowing I could go and see them (if only for an hour) - and not go.

    I wont let those BDO'ers deter me from my mission :cool:

    As we have been saying, the problem with the BDO (not sure about other festivals, havent been to any others) is the amount of drunken, immature, disrespecting idiots that seem to only attend to "pick up" or get wasted.

    I'm not sure if this is an Australian trait more than others.

    PJ seem to not mind playing at Festivals lately, so it's feasible, but as alot of us have stated, and i'm in the same mind, I hope that they either play some side shows for us, or come next year on their own.

    If they only played at the BDO, I would still go.

    the thing about the BDO headliners like Metallica, RATM, The Strokes etc. they normally just play own shows in the eastern states and than play Adel and Perth BDO's only. I have seen PJ quite a few times now but never at a festival so I be the first one there especially if MMJ and NY were there also. It has been a strong rumour this week but still I doubt this very much as every year there is same pj rumour for BDO and Australia.
    I'm just flying around the other side of the world to say I love you

    Sha la la la i'm in love with a jersey girl

    I love you forever and forever :)

    yes we do go through this every year. but to me there is more against this rumour this time round then any other year.

    i think there is very little chance this is gonna happen. just too much other stuff going on round the same time.
