Iv heard:
AC/DC
Coldplay
Radiohead
The Verve
The prodigy
Metallica
To name a few. lots of things floating round!
metallica are touring in the US at the time
Prodigy have apparently said they are playing
Dave grohl hinted they would be back here early in the new year,
Radiohead are looking at doing their own tour that is more environmentally friendyl
ACDC i think are unlikely with Neil already announced
The Verve would be nice, we will see
Coldplay, again, headliner announced, i don't think so
I hope they don't (do BDO) but, I dunno....it goes with the fact they told a few people that they're hoping to be here in January and the fact that Uncle Neil is confirmed.
Seems more possible to me with those things....not holding my breath though....will just wait and see what the BDO Newsletters say, I guess.
Rumored:
** Arctic Monkeys
** The Ting Tings
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - please please please
Primal Scream - plz play nothing after XTRMNTR unless its when the bomb drops.
# Simian Mobile Disco
The Vines - bogan filler junk, of course they will play
The Verve - please please please
Bloc Party
Brian Jonestown Massacre - doubt it
# Pendulum
The Prodigy - keith loves the BDO
The Presets - aussie boiler room filler (probably second headliner to someone)
Klaxons - Said they were touring january apparently
Hot Chip - Antics seems to think so
You Am I - pretty sure they will be there
Living End
Birds of Tokyo
Karnivool
Pearl Jam - some kinda mention on triple j apparently. keep getting told to put them back into the rumors list so here you go. now you can all whinge if/when they arent on the lineup.

^ Initially had the same reaction as you Pal, but then again, think about the potential of having Neil Young and Pearl Jam on the same lineup.
That's something special you wouldn't ever get down here if they did their own headline tour. Plus, it's a major bonus seeing them outside rather than in our horrible entertainment centres...
Given the downside are the general wankers that the BDO tends to attract...
1995 - March 08 Adelaide.
1998 - March 07 Adelaide.
2003 - Feb 11 Sydney. 16 Adelaide. 18+19+20 Melbourne.
2006 - Sep 07 Madrid. 09 Marseille. 11 Paris. // Nov 07 Sydney. 13+14 Melbourne. 21+22 Adelaide.
2009 - Nov 17 Adelaide. 20 Melbourne. 22 Sydney.
2011 - Eddie Vedder; March 25 Melbourne. 27+28 Adelaide.
2014 - BDO. Jan 23 Melbourne. 25 Sydney. 31 Adelaide.
The crowd will be full of drunken idiots who don't appreciate you and it will ruin the experience for all your loyal fans. Please just do a normal tour!!! PLEASE!!!
Half the crowd wouldnt know of Pearl Jam let alone Neil Young
Exactly. They're calling him Neil Old over at the BDO forum.

Being surrounded my obnoxious teenagers, who only want to get laid or get off, instead of appreciating the great gift that is PJ....
Like I said, I would still go
'Cause PJ are too classy for the Big Day Out.
Its fulla kids, emo's, hippies, acid freaks blah blah blah who most would never have heard of the lads.
Id have to stand up the back somewhere otherwise Id end up belting some pissed gromit.
That being said...Id take any PJ but it just seems silly
