  The scenerio should also be left open where your choice turns out to be a fantastic one. People who have been wrong about so much should at least consider that they could still be wrong.

  And that is fair but speaking as a conservative I am pleasantly surprised by his selections so far. These are all people of vast accomplishment...time will tell how that translates into policy.

  Rick Perry is a figure of "vast accomplishment?" For folksiness? What did he actually accomplish? Other than be governor of Texas and forgetting the name of the federal angency that he would abolish but now is the named head of?

  Under Governor Perry's direction Texas has been one of if not the most successfully run states in the US. This success also took place during an American and Global economic downturn. Texas is also the largest energy producing state in the US and Governor Perry has a deep understanding of the energy sector. Your hatred of all things "folksy" blinds you to these facts.

  If you don't want to know about the potentially exploding fertilizer storage warehouse your house is next door to, two, too.
