Well quite specifically and using very similar language to describe the circumstance, when Elaine's fake co-worker/alter-ego "Suzie" is fake-killed off by Elaine to avoid having to kwep up the office charade, Mr. Peterman taps her to head up a charity in her honor. "Nights, weekends, every free moment..." to which Elaine cries "Suuuuuze!"

Its such a similar circumstance to George being forced into working on the Susan Ross Foundation - even the first names! - that its clearly a nod from the writers to that episode.

The question was convoluted but the trivia is gold Jerry!

I think it was meant to show just how little, if at all, they'd grown in the time of the show. they hadn't learned a thing, and nothing had changed. loved it.

Some background on how I even know this character's name. I noticed in the closing credits of The Van Buren Boys episode that a character was listed as "Lomez Jr." I was like "Jesus, Lomez has a son?" I assumed he had to be one of the Van B Boys. But after checking it on the internet (years ago, before IMDB made it so easy to do), I discovered that Lomez Jr was in fact this scholarship candidate.

I once attended a service at Lomez's Place of Worship and he was there. It'd have to be an amazing coincidence for it not to be his son.
