Oh, I remember now, you said we were great in 2008 at the start of the recession. I have to remember we're in the era of low expectations.

The government won't even show up in North Dakota.

If they can't do that, they're not gonna make any changes about Trump winning. Nothing will change sadly, but things surely SHOULD.

What's the deal Canadians? The lack of understanding what it really means when YOUR country just elected a nutcase for the next 4 years is apparent. Yeah, you're angry, but imagine how we feel.

If we have to take a bit to recollect, than so be it.

We process differently because we LIVE HERE.

i can't even begin, free. i can't. i feel for ya. i really do. seeing all this shit on social media of kids in classrooms yelling 'build that wall' and the latino kids crying. it's unbelievable. i don't think trump realized what he was unleashing when he tapped into that portion of the country.

then i see a video of pm trudeau speaking at the UN telling everyone we need unity, not division, and all that. it's bizarro world from the US.

I know I am entertained and have had a permismile the past few days. I'd like to report that all the sore LOSER's protesting in my town will be getting participation trophies and a 8 year supply of tissue's sponcered by Klennex....
All there is left to do is SMILE, SMILE, SMILE....
can you articulate exactly what makes you so happy about this? i'm asking honestly, not trying to bait you. because i see you post statements like this, but when people ask you direct questions, you slink away. what is it that you are hoping for? tougher on crime? less immigration? the wall? what is the big issue for you? or are there many?

  • When you say nothing will change, I understand why you would think that but you are forgetting that R's now have control of both congress and the senate. Things are going to change.
Something else to think about, the great and up and coming minds of the world are not going to be enticed at the thought of coming here. The Elon Musks for example. There is going to be a global shift in perception of the united states now that he is our representative.
In your humble opinion what do you think was the perception globally of the United States before the election?
    and
What do you think it is now?

Can't do it Hugh. I learned a long time ago being honest is not taken too kindly around here. I come on here purely for the entertainment value, just like many of you are hopefully.
I will say this, just my opinion of course, but if one thinks they are making a difference in this fucked up world that we are living in by posting opinions on a Rock n Roll forum, well more power to you. Bri saying he is going to go out and be more actively involved in causes he feels strongly about surely gets my attention and respect. I would love to hear from people on here that might have actively joined in on a "Trump is not my President" Protest and more importunely to me a Blacklives Matter Protest……now that would get my attention and might get me off my crapper.

I'll speak for you. You're slowly losing your white privilege and you're afraid. Or would you being honest sound even worse? Oh, I was at an anti trump demonstration today, too.

I am real happy for you and flattered you took it upon yourself to speak for me. It's nice to see someone getting out of Mommy and Daddies basement and doing something productive.

You're welcome. Let me know the next time the big musky is too scared to be honest in here.

I was putting two and two together based on his previous posts. He's a big boy and can clarify if he'd like. I'm getting pretty sick of these trump voters going back to hide under their rocks. The party of so called responsibility may want to try and take some.

Perhaps you should worry about yourself and your own thoughts. If not, there are Safe Spaces w/ Pretty Unicorns and FREE Ferry Dust being setup all over this country to discuss how to accept losing. Bare in mind funding will be cut Jan. 20th, so you might want to bring your own Kleenex.

You're funny. Keep following along and do what you're told to say, and then try to act like a tough fella. I'm clear about my own thoughts. Still scared to be honest in here? How about some ownership? You said you'd love to hear from someone who went to a demonstration. Well, here ya go. Ready to take some responsibility for your choices of voting for trump, or are you going to try and backpedal out of it? (Except for the blatant racists, they're totally stoked, but at least they're honest).

You keep referring to trump supporters as racist ... do you have proof?? I think they could just be easily labeled as disenfranchised with a system that time and time has let them down, for right or wrong he was their champion...no one else was there to fill the void after Sanders was cast aside...

Yes, there's trump supporters that are racist. The ones who are on the fence and mildly xenophobic have now colluded with the racists with their vote for trump. You can call them disenfranchised if that's easier for you to digest.

So you have no proof? I'm not the only one who calls them disenfranchised, not all are liber elitist...

I need to post first hand stories and things I've heard directly where trump voters are saying racist things? Oh wait, I know the response you'll follow like the rest "those are fake stories created by the media". Really, you can just browse amt to see the racist things trump voters have said in here. What's a liber elitist, by the way?
