So, What Comes Now?

Agreed, though I hope that out of this D & R alike begin to recognize that the people have a limit to the immorality they will tolerate in their politicians. Maybe this shocking turn of events encourages government to reform, and return to democracy from its current plutocracy.2-feign-reluctance said:'05 - TO, '06 - TO 1, '08 - NYC 1 & 2, '09 - TO, Chi 1 & 2, '10 - Buffalo, NYC 1 & 2, '11 - TO 1 & 2, Hamilton, '13 - Buffalo, Brooklyn 1 & 2, '15 - Global Citizen, '16 - TO 1 & 2, Chi 2

it's really hard to convict people with money in general in the US ...mickeyrat said:0 -
dude ... they still use the imperial system there ... they haven't understood the concept of democracy for some time ... it's not going to change because of this ... if anything - it strengthens it ...benjs said:0 -

He's a malatov cocktail thrown into our political system. That loon Michael Moore will be right about the rust belt backing him to send a 'statement' to our government.benjs said:www.cluthelee.com0 -
I don't think progressives should roll over and make it easy for him. I think Elizabeth Warren should take the lead.0

No, they deserve it for electing Trump too.lukin2006 said:

Well his civil suit related to the rape accusation should be a full blown drama. I'm surprised no real mention of it in the press. I even read an article talking about Trumps pending suits and they didn't reference it. Did it get dropped and I missed that?0

Bingo!brianlux said:They will be so busy putting out fires nothing will get done. We will be the laughing stock of the entire world. Trump supporters will smirk until the snake turns on them and it will be too late. Meanwhile, anyone with any sense will be speaking out and standing up for well thought out ideas, supporting each other, and working to promote leadership that at least makes more sense than Clown President.
Fear is normal but the sensible thing to do is work past the fear, turn the energy of anger into something constructive and useful, and set a good example.

I love how people are browbeating people's emotions not 24 hours after a shit storm that was 2 years in the making.
I personally think he will plunge ahead and get as much done as fast as he can, with the help of people who actually know how to get anything done in government, since he hasn't got a clue. Obviously many of his threats won't play out any time soon, if ever. Like that $10 billion wall that will actually cost $50 billion and destroy ecosystems. And like rounding up American citizens and deporting them to the country of their ancestors' origins. But he likely will do his best to get some other things done asap. Attacking the right to choose will likely happen quickly if he wasn't lying about that (which he may have been - I really don't know; he was never socially conservative until the campaign, so I'm hoping he was just lying through his teeth to his supporters like usual on that one). The whole government is Republican now, and hungry to increase the number of back-alley abortions, apparently. It will be relatively easy to place more restrictions on access, since that's already been happening with ease for a few years now in some states, especially Texas. Is Roe vs Wade actually under threat now? Possibly. And, unless Obama finally actually does something about it first, he could fill the SCOTUS seat with someone who will help him start loading illegals on buses (or train cars?). And I'm sure he has his next sexual conquest in his sights already. Yee haw.
What I really wonder about is his business. What is he going to do with all that?? He doesn't have time for both, but I really can't see him just going totally hands off with the whole Trump brand name. Is it legal for a sitting President to engage in that kind of work? I have no clue. Surely there would be a shit load of conflicting interests for him now. As of last night, actually. Is anyone keeping an eye on that??? Who is going to police Trump and his creepy kids? With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0 -

Oh? Since when? Last I heard she simply bailed on a press conference because she was receiving death threats from Trump supporters. That was only last week. If it was dropped since then, just the fact that THAT isn't all over the news, and why it was dropped (by someone supposedly getting death threats from Trump supporters) is completely fucked up. Of course, that basically nobody seemed to give a shit about the suit in the first place is even worse.dignin said:Post edited by PJ_Soul onWith all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. I think she dropped it the same day, or next.PJ_Soul said:

That's too bad, since it seems that she was bullied put of it. Meanwhile, it seems somewhat likely that the new president is a child rapist (and a spousal rapist, according to Ivana). And that he sexually assaults women and tries to pay porn stars to fuck him, even though he's married.dignin said:

So, what comes now ?
America begins it's journey to heal its wounds suffered over the last 8 years, I will admit that some things the obama admin. were good but there were also so many bad things that he created as well and the current and past riots are a reflection of that, I don't recall any republican riots in the streets when he was elected, do you ?

what comes now should be extensive polling to find out the various reasons 43% of the eligible voting population chose not to then do the necessary work to correct that abysmal turnout %._____________________________________SIGNATURE________________________________________________
